For once, I'm glad I got underwear as one of my Christmas gifts, looks like I'm going to need plenty of pairs...................:wink2:

It's a great series, but the first film is the only film I've ever covered my eyes in since I was a kid. This new one may join that short list.:wink2: -- Al

I am a big fan of this series too.

My favorite is still the 2nd installment, "Aliens" - the extended version.

A must see! It's like Star Wars to me, I was in at the start, some of the movies are better than others, but I just can't help myself.

I enjoyed this series much more than star wars though they are very different and it's a definate must see. I had always hoped they would visit the origin planet of the aliens creatures, talk about a vision of Hell!

The 1970's was a great decade, has some of the best memories for me. Star Wars was a huge hit upon it's release in 1977 and Alien was released Two years later...to the day. I enjoyed both movies, very different in plot etc but both depicted space vehicles (and crew) with realistic "weathering" which was a relatively new concept at the time. I also prefer the original Alien movie over Star Wars, and enjoyed the subsequent Aliens that added a lot of battle action to the horror and suspense. I wasn't so keen on subsequent Alien movies and even Prometheus wasn't as good as I expected, but it did include some terrific special effects. I'm not sure if the new Alien:Covenant movie is based on the Alien Home World, but still looking forward to the film release.

I'll never forget when that critter busted out of that guys chest. It ranked up there when Charleston Heston saw the head of the Statue of Liberty at the end of Planet of the Apes.As much as I like sci-fi I have never gotten into the Star Wars movies, don't ask me why because I can't tell you but it just never clicked for me. There is suppose to be a sequel for Promethus but I don't know if this is it.With this, the 2 viking movies, the new Kong Kong and a new Pirates of the Caribbean it looks to be a good year for me.
