Hi Guys,

I know many of you will already be familiar with HECO and their U.K. made models… Like my good friend Louis Badolato I am a great admirer (though not as yet a collector) of their fine work.

I am a collector of another superb designer and manufacturer of all-metal models… Bruce Hebron of “Metal Shed” out of California.

Bruce’s work, is in my humble opinion, the best and most original of the metal work out there. He brings a special artistry and style that is simply UNIQUE.

Over the years I have commissioned an occasional piece from him but make a point of always purchasing something from him either at the West Coaster, which Bruce attends personally, or from his Chicago agent Joe at the Old Toy Soldier Show in Schaumburg every September.

If you are not familiar with his name or work seek this man out! He is a true artist of the military miniature of the highest order.

Best wishes and… good hunting!
Andy C.

Hi
Andy was'nt wrong and those pictures are really good - Looks like my weekend is going to be full on :(

I completely agree with my good friend Andy - Metalshed produces the same kind of unique works of art that Tony and Adele Williams of Heco used to produce. Absolutely magnificent models!:cool::cool::cool:

Oh, and Andy, don't be jealous, I still love K&C best!

You can view some of Bruce's work at the Remson's Executive Collectibles website. This is really great stuff.

Thanks for the link. The Metalshed creations are fantastic. I love the Taube, Claude, and F3F-1. Real pieces of art. -- Al

I had a really good look at the Metal Shed display at the Valley Forge Show on Friday, and all I can say is "wow!!!" Really great stuff!:cool::cool::cool: I really envied my good buddy Marc Hoffman, who bought the magnificent WWI train. If I wasn't already completely hooked on Heco Tinplate Models (which, as Andy pointed out, is the only other artist owned cottage producer making unique, handmade, individual works of art, which are simultaneously magnificently detailed and "toyish" in appearance) I would bankrupt myself on these magnificent pieces.:D;)

I was so close to buying this plane, but decided to soon place an order for one of his Spads or Nieports, since there are almost no Hecos left in the universe:D Michael

I too was very very tempted by that German floatplane.:cool:

Youu have to see these vehicles and planes in person to really appreciate how well done they are. The workmanship is first rate.

Hi Polar Bear,
Could you please provide me with the link to Metal Shed, I loved the narrow gauge Loco and loaded carts, do they still trade it?
Regards,
Fleury

Fleury,

The Metal Shed is wonderful but very expensive and I mean very.

Brad

I think Remson's is the official seller/distributor of Metal Shed products.

Hi Brad and All,

Thank you and all for sending me the link to the Metal Shed.......I can see what you mean by expensive.....they are really a chink of change....
Too bad the narrow gauge rail set is no longer part of the offerings.

Thankyou
Fleury
