Hi Guys,

Here’s a preview of our next two Allied aircraft of WW2 in the form of a pair of famous fighter planes belonging to two equally famous RAF Fighter Command aces… Squadron Leaders Douglas Bader and Bob Stanford-Tuck.

As many of you know the Hawker Hurricane has long been a favourite of King & Country and has appeared in at least 3 different markings over the years ‘UFK’‘SDN’… and ‘GNA’.

All three were part of our factory production runs and together sold over 1200 aircraft models.

At the same time we also produced quite a number of ‘Special Order’ hand-carved, wooden Hurricanes for collectors who requested certain specific markings and squadron code letters.

Having said all of that I recognized that it was high time for a brand-new-sculpt Hawker Hurricane as K&C had been long ‘sold-out’ of this iconic Battle of Britain fighter plane for several years.

These two new Hurricanes have enhanced fuselage details as well as other improvements elsewhere on the aircraft.

As mentioned earlier these first two models represent aircraft flown by two of the most celebrated and decorated Royal Air Force pilots of WW2.

Looking further down the line a third Hurricane could be in the markings and colour scheme of the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm. But that’s another story.

In the meantime, all the best and happy flying,
Andy

Look great, does the Stanford Tuck Hurricane have a half black colour underneath?
Why is the camo pattern on Stanford Tuck Hurricane the same as the other Hurricanes? GNA, SDN, UFK

I have all the previous Hurricanes and Spitfires, see below for a pics of some of my collection, with T Gunn and Figarti planes [for reference of those who could/will ask what they are?], not all as the other are 'in storage display' mode, but i am working on having them all on display eventually, when i move house. This is to show i am still in the hobby and i am looking forward for the new planes [the ME109 as well] and will buy but have questions.

I had another look and do not think that Standford Tuck's Hurricane has the half black painted underneath, as the undercarriage is not painted black, hope these are pre productions models and the release will have the half and half paint job underneath.

Years ago i read Fly For Your Life
by Larry Forrester, is a biography of Stanford-Tuck's life. Stanford Tuck was a true hero and had some real misfortune, when he intercepted a German Bomber close to cardiff in Wales, the bomber jettisoned it's bombs outside the city and hit an army training camp, killing a single soldier, that soldier was his sister's husband.

He was the Godfather for Alfred Galland son, who was born in 1966 and the two WW2 Aces became great friends after the war.

These look terrific Andy. I have one of the Connoisseur wooden ones, as well as the older style. Good to see planes are coming out again.

Fantastic Andy, really enjoying the RAF range and these 2x new birds look amazing.(y)

Nice pictures, now I finally know what to do with this repair crew.
