Alymer over 1000 items (1 Viewer)

I don't often watch Alymer auctions. What do older Alymer normally go for?

I know some of their more recent work isn't as highly thought of...what of the older stuff?

Yo Troopers, unusual to see a collection like this in Ireland. Just think less than a £1.00 each. If you want I can check them out for you, and if you buy them can keep them here for a few years until you have enough room for them:rolleyes:. Boy do I put myself out for people;).
Bernard.

Hey Bernard, your a real saint for sure. LOL

I was thinking about buying them, but I couldn't afford the shipping to the states and you would have to keep them maybe forever. I just couldn't think of imposing that on you, so I'll pass them up. :( :p :D

All depends! Some of the older better painted stuff goes for nice money especially camels, elephants and believe it or not Amer Rev. All depends on who is in the market. I personally like a lot of their camels, big sets (Naval Guns), and elephants.

I am missing one sought after set - the "Cow Gun" (Naval Gun with Oxen set).

The only new stuff I have seen that has trouble selling is the single figures, even then they still sell, just not at the higher retail. Normally around 15 to 30 each.

They are good b/c they tackle a lot of subjects.

If I read the auction description correctly, his collection is made up of the smaller Miniplom figures that Alymer made, usually packaged 3 to a plastic base, with a clear plastic cover and a gold paper label. The pictures show only the smaller figures, I didn't see any 54mm among them.

No less collectible, but I wanted to put that out there as a clarification.

I have a couple of the Revolutionary War sets, and some individual figures, too, both painted and unpainted castings. They fit well enough with other classic figures from the same era, like Stadden or Lasset.

Prost!
