1944 with the Battle of the Bulge well under way. The Americans decide to retailiate back as much as they could against the German Offensive. A platoon of Americans hide among the snow covered trees of the Belgium countryside as they got wind of a small patrol group of Germans coming their way, according to scout reports, there was at least a Panzer IV with the German Recon.

The Americans open up with their .30 Caliber machine gun and small arms and mow down the first few germans of the patrol.

The Panzer IV was knock out by two Bazooka shots from the Americans hiding among the brushes and trees. Though taken by surprised, the Germans fought back firing back against the Americans hiding behind the snow covered trees and bushes.

Very nice concept shadowfax ! If you had a diorama backdrop you would have put this one over the top. :wink2: Like what you did here. ^&grin
Are you picking up the new Bulge Germans in over coats ?

The firefight is over soon and the remaining Germans surrender. The Americans rush out from the trees to take them captive.

A German Medic try to tell his American captor that they had surrendered and not to shoot.

A German POW look shocked by the whole firefight stared blankly at the body of a dead panzer crew lying nearby.

The Americans lost two of their own. Here a American Medic collected the personal letters from the bodies of two fallen fellow comarades. These letters will be sent back to their loved ones back home.

The Americans studied the Knock-out Panzer IV tank which was knock-out during the mabush

Nice dio . It tells a story like there were so many around in that part of the world ( my world) in those days ;Would have been even better with an appropriate backdrop . I am like you Shadowfax; I want all the new winter Germans and most of the Russian inf support troops

Really; that's my cup of tea!{bravo}}
A good story and very sharp pictures.
Nicely done but you have to look desperately for some nice backdrops...
I want to see what will happen with the prisoners.
