That's what I'm talking about Tom! ...... US Armor in mass, love it.
That's a great collection you have there, and the scenic buildings by Jakob really bring it all to life. Well done. ^&cool
Also like that overhead shot, really cool looking.
Tom, every time I post a comment, you add more pictures! They all look great and thanks for posting mate.
Tom, thanks again for even more pictures of this great collection. I enjoyed them all.
Thanks Duke, you inspired me to do a G.I. scene from the awesome scenes you have been posting!
Wonderful series Tom. Particularly like the courtyard scene with the recon vehicles. Chris
Thanks Chris
Hi Tom,
This is just fantastic! While I've certainly liked the other dioramas you've shared here on the forum, I think this one is one of your best. Lots to see with the various US vehicles; some splendid pieces in fact. The landscaping and structures are most excellent. I really like how you have incorporated the 82nd in the bushes. Really nice detailed touch (and sneaky too). Overall, a great dio. That's it, I've got to expand my US D-Day collection. Top notch!
Thanks Rob, glad you like the pic's mate and you can't go wrong with K&C's DD range, it's simply brilliant! All we need now is a DD M3 halftrack, standard version and also a new version with the quad 50 cal machine guns, hint, hint Andy!!! {sm3} :wink2:
Tom,
Is that the Free French Scout Car (DD103) you have pictured or something older?
Love the additional pics as well!
Beautiful displayed diorama right there!!!!!!! great job with all aspects of this diorama Tom, from the armour to the troop movement!!! man, we're gonna have some fun in a short few months ^&grin...Sammy
Cheers Sam and I reckon your wife is gunna be cranky with us spending all day and night setting up dio's!!! ^&grin
WO, that's the US version of the M3A1 White Scout Car which was K&C BBA016. The DD103 is the same model but for the Free French.
Thanks Duke, what you say is correct and I like how this vehicle is so versatile and can be used not only in the Bulge, but also for the European summer.
The church is stunning Tom. Certainly a lovely building you commissioned Jakob to build. The Americans have arrived in full force. Really like the terrain work, joins everything together. Lots to see here. Robin.
Thanks Robin and yeah, I thought it was time to do a full G.I. display although I did a fairly large one last year on my other big diorama table. I have been itching to do a dio with that Ambo jeep (thanks young Howard for selling her to me) and also my airborne and a few other vehicles and figures yet to see the light of my camera!
Incredible...and lot's of fun.
Thanks Matt
Hi Tom,
Congratulations on one more superb diorama and setup...It looks like you used 'natural light' on some of the pix...If so it worked brilliantly...If not it still worked brilliantly!!!
Very, very well done. Have a brilliant weekend mate, Andy.
Thanks Andy and your right, the last lot of pic's and some of the one's scattered amongst the other pic's had a combination of natural light and inside house lighting. The other pic's were taken at night just using the house lighting and I think they look the best.
ENJOY is an understatement mate that was superb and I know a lot of work and more importantly fun goes into setting it up so well done the pics look superb as well mate great collection.
Thanks mate and yeah, it was a labour of love!
Thanks to everyone else that provided a like.
Tom
