American Horror Story - Season 3: Coven (2 Viewers)

Agreed, I didn't care for this seasons theme at all, my favorite was the season they were in the loony bin..........

Season four is starts this month. "Freak Show" with a 1950s circus setting. Kathy Bates as the bearded lady. Looks promising.

First episode was pretty good. The 1950s circus setting has potential pitting the sideshow freaks against freakish normalcy of that era. And what a rendition of Life of Mars!

Thought it good enough to watch further. It was quite creepy, and that clown are what nightmares are made of. -- Al

Not sure I can take seeing the two headed woman all season long, the bearded lady isn't much better; that said, you nailed it, I had a nightmare about that clown last night.....:(

I read there was going to be quite a backstory on "Twisty" the clown told in one upcoming episode. The opening sequence of the show is something to behold.

My favorite quote from episode two: "Meatloaf, meatloaf!" That scene in the diner was bizarre. Poor Meep.

I started watching that this season...
what a bizarre show...
it reminds me of the HBO series...
Carnival...

The show is keeping my interest. That poor, little Richie Rich boy is bent. That clown has the makings of a superstar. -- Al

I've been a fan of the show for years but this years growing graphic and bizarre sexual theme is kind of disturbing to me, especially for TV, unnecessary for a horror show IMHO

Al...

The consensus seems to be that seasons 1 (Murder House) and 2 (Asylum) were the best. A lot of folks didn't care for season 3. Each season has a completely different setting both in terms of characters, place, and time but with mostly the same actors. This year they seem to be back on track. The strangeness of the 1950s in general and circus folk in particular are well suited for this show.

I just cancelled my Netflix streaming...so I can't watch the previous seasons on there...I really don't want it subscribe to it again...

I just called Direct TV...my provider...I could not find Season's 1-3 on their "smart search" or their "On Demand"...they confirmed it is not offered in either...

does anyone know where I can watch Season's 1-3 free?

Michael, I have seen some of Zombie's work. I'm not a big fan.:rolleyes2: Generally, I am not a fan of the slash and gore genre of horror films and have actually seen very few of them. I do like 'The Walking Dead' and this Freak Show so far. Tried watching last seasons version with the witch's and couldn't get through it. I'm more of a fan of the traditional, old Hollywood horror flicks like Frankenstein, Dracula, etc. -- Al

I agree...the only reason I mentioned it was because of the clown...

The Devil's Rejects is a real stinker!!!

I'm a Vampire nut myself...

my favorites...Near Dark and Dusk to Dawn...

The first season was great. The second season was ok but I really didn't care for last season. This season seems better but we'll see.It was renewed for a fifth season.

I'm not sure the ghost aspect is good, or even necessary, to what was a credibly creepy show with some interesting story lines. The human aspect was good enough for me without the spirit factor. -- Al
