American Horror Story - Season 3: Coven (1 Viewer)

I agree...the only reason I mentioned it was because of the clown...

The Devil's Rejects is a real stinker!!!

I'm a Vampire nut myself...

my favorites...Near Dark and Dusk to Dawn...

You must watch Daybreakers, Let Me In ( US version ) and 30 Days of Night...Michael

Michael...

I have seen them...

all three of those are excellent for a Vampire movie lover...

there are so many to choose from...

Interview with a Vampire...the Blade series...Bram Stoker's Dracula...etc...

there is such a large following...so they just keep making them...

but I do enjoy a good Vampire movie...^&grin

Couple of other good vampire movies were Fright Night and Salem's Lot. I would like to see Salem's Lot redone in a version worthy of the book, which is terrific. -- Al

Yes these were very good too.I liked the original Fright Night better than the more recent remake.Let's not forget Lost Boys also.

Old Dandy went a bit American Psycho this week. Best quote of the week goes to him: "OMG looks like somebody broke in and did a little murderin',"

Favorite quote this week comes from Dandy's long suffering mother. In response to his observation that he liked the previous housekeeper better (the one he recently murdered), she says "hindsight is 20/20."

Mike, I thought Twisty the most interesting, and certainly the scariest, of all the characters on the show. Perhaps he can escape purgatory. -- Al

I think you need to get in the script writer's guild and join the writing cast of the show...or at least send them your idea...

We want Twisty...We want Twisty...We want Twisty...^&grin...

I think Stanley...the con artist collector of freaks...is my favorite...he is absolutely as twisted as they come...

Neil Patrick Harris is going to be on the show shortly...either in a cameo role or as a full time cast member...

This show is killing off more characters than Walking Dead. I wonder if anyone will make it through the season. :rolleyes2: -- Al

Al...

Sons of Anarchy will give them both a good run for their money on body counts...^&grin

Michael, I've never seen SoA but I have heard good things. -- Al

Al...it is good...but kind of hard to swallow...

they live in a very small town...I think it's named Charming...or something like that...

they have 3-4 different motorcycle gangs living in this tiny town...

every week...there is a huge gun battle with automatic weapons...

they have 1 sheriff and a couple of deputies...

it's just hard to believe...with all the shootings and murders...that a national law enforcement presence has not come to the aid if this little city with crime and murders running amok...

but...that's Hollywood right?

still...it's a good show...

Mat try to catch it, now that it is all but done. I'm famous in my family for not watching something when it starts out. Didn't start Walking Dead or Breaking Bad until they were 2 or so seasons in. No use rushing into things.:rolleyes2: -- Al

I'm not a fan of this season at all, just not working for me.

Season two was the best IMO, the one that took place in the loony bin, many twists and turns.

This one with all the freaks is too much freak, not enough horror; the one element of horror in it was the clown and he's gone now. The son who just offed him Mother annoys the **** out of me, I feel like reaching through the TV and choking the life out of him, a total moron.

Feeling the same way. Something went out of the show when Twisty the Clown left. Agree about psycho son, too. Even Jessica Lange is starting to get on my nerves. -- Al

I thought last year was the worst and Season 1 the best.Either way I think it's lost it uniqueness.

Dandy certainly resolved his mommy issue this week. I like the artistic quality of the show this season. The plot has not been everything it could have been, however. For example, I thought they were going to play off the general weirdness of the "normal" citizens of the 1950s who outwardly lived ideal lives but were often repressed and bigoted by modern standards. The best characters have been Twisty the Clown, the strongman, and Ma Petite. Unfortunately they have mostly had limited roles. I did like Kathy Bates' strange accent. I read somewhere it was supposed to be a "Baltimore" accent which I never heard of before.
