Any chance the Britiish Paras will be followed by American Paras?

Yes every chance if the Brit Paras do well, its our first venture into Allied figures so lets see how these sell. We have done some designs for US Paras but nothing definite yet, so lets wait and see. Last time I was at the factory our first US vehicle seemed to be coming along nicely but of course I would like to see the FW190 come out first. Apologies for the delay everybody waiting for one, but the delay has been caused as a result of Allied bombing on the factory - well thats my story and I am sticking to it!

kind Regards

Tom

Tom,
Given your track record so far, I think the Brit Para's will do quite nicely!
Any hints on the US vehicle? Tracks or wheels? Or both?

Its supposed to have wheels but they have not been fitted yet!

No Sherman then - sigh of relief I think from the forum!

American paras!!!!! Please let the Brit paras do well so we see some 82nd airborne.

I have a base waiting for American paras. The one 101st trooper is getting lonely guarding. a German all by himself. I would love to see a shoot from a landed para too.

american paras are just what im waiting for hope you get round to them soon! My german paras need somebody to attack & if they are as good as your german sets ill be a happy man!

Cheers Craig

Para jeep!:D

And Shermans are amazing, however I am not sure that the Brit paras had Shermans?

If American paras are in the pipeline, and Tom's answer to the American vehicle question, I can only conclude it is an American Jeep with trailer (or 37mm AT Gun...but that was already obselete at that time). He mentioned " it has wheels and are not fitted yet."

Utility truck would be my guess something along the lines of say a 'Jimmy' truck. Too many jeeps out at the moment for the Arnhem range so, why do another jeep?.

Lets also not jump the Gun (no pun) but, US paras in the pipeline as in drawings. Plenty people I have spoken with want Brit paras which, may allow other conflicts to be covered so, all you US dudes get in line. Brits first thank you.

101ST or 82nd Airborne figures in action would be very welcome:cool:

OK, my wild guess...

A British 6-pounder anti-tank gun Mk IV. This was the airborne version of the British 6-pounder. This would work for BOTH the Brits and the Yanks as the US Army had replaced the 37mm gun with a licensed-produce 6-pounder, the 57mm AT gun M1 (M1A1, etc..). The US airborne divisions in England traded their US 57mm's in for British 6-pounders on the airborne carriage as the fit into glider better than the wider standard towed mount 6-pounder/57mm guns. These British guns show up in several photos of US airborne troops in Normandy.

Second guess would be the classic US jeep. Again, an item that was used in many roles by Allied airborne units (including towing the above AT gun!)

Third choice is the US 75mm pack howitzer M8. Here we have a US gun that was shared with the British airborne in Europe.

So far Gunn has done some really nice Kraut artillery, so I think it's a gun versus a "vehicle". Just my opinion!

US airborne divisions didn't have many other types of vehicle that they could take on an airborne operation. There were hand carts (M3-series) that were used for ammo and supply hauling.
