American Revolution British Sneak Peek (1 Viewer)

Have done some more reading/research on the British units that were engaged at Breed's/Bunker Hill. There were 14 regiments of foot plus the Royal Marines. For the most part, only the flank companies (Grenadiers and Light Infantry) of each regiment were used in the 3 assualts. A number of the regiment's uniforms had bastion style button holes. Here is a picture of the 5th Regiment of Foot - notice the bastion style button holes:

Nothing gets past you folks. The 5th Foot is absolutely correct. Chosen specifically because they took part in both Bunker Hill and Lexington-Concord.

Well there you go. Nice piece of sleuthing Mike. Are those sort of light greenish facings?

That's what I'm talking about... manufacturers need to post previews of figures/ranges sooner, so that us collectors can plan our budgets appropriately. ;)

I remember that it's called Gosling Green. I was selling figures I painted of the 5th back in the 70s and a member of the reenacted 5th called me to show me his uniform. I was using an OD green and changed it to the shade here....

Great looking photo of how the Light Infantry flanking company was uniformed. I really hope that FL will offer some light infantry figures along with the grenadiers.
