....so here goes, my first attempt at posting some images of my newly acquired Regal Enterprises / SOTW figures....
...part of the 'Early American Wars' range....or more specifically, the American War of Independence...
...after making contact with Allan Farley at Regal, I picked 3x sets to test the waters.....along with the positive encouragement of Treefrog's very own PolarBear....
...and 10 weeks later, the sets arrived.....very well packaged in branded blue boxes with nice soft sponge inlays to protect the goods....
...I chose a set of Royal Artillery, the 42nd Highlanders, and a set of British Line Infantry painted to represent the 63rd Regiment of Foot....my first glossy AWI figures....(after previously asking in this forum for help in picking a manufacturer to collect = thank you!)...
...these Regal / SOTW figures are stunning...they are beautifully painted....I wasn't too sure about the 'Aunt Sally' rosy cheek before actually receiving these, but it adds wonderfully to the 'toy' look that these figures have....the sculpting is spot on, the figures have a nice weight 'in the hand' which helps convey the impression that you are holding a very fine piece indeed...
...short story = these are brilliant and I can't say enough about them....if you have never tried a Regal / SOTW set before, then do so immediately.....they are glorious....and again many thanks to PolarBear for his help...
