Yes, a butcher needs his chopping block and surprising Andy didn't include one in the set, but then I don't suppose many would think there something missing without it and the table doubles in the set as block and counter.
As I'm sure you can see it's just a piece cut from a tree branch about thumb size across and a bamboo skewer cut to length.
