I received three towers for the Andalusian Castle yesterdaym completing my planned castle display. Here are a couple of photos of it displayed on a framed 2-foot x 3-foot diorama base. My next step will be to apply Woodland Scenic landscape materials to be he display.

Those JJD Towers gate and wall pieces altogether really look the business and as alive as stone walls get ! :salute::

Looking forward to seeing your ground work Mike !

Nicely planned display. I like the frame edging. Looking forward to seeing the Woodland Scenics added.

Thank you both. The castle as shown (gatehouse, 3 wall sections, and 3 towers) fit perfectly on the framed 2x3 foot display base which is actually an inexpensive poster frame I purchased from a local hobby shop. All I did was insert a water resistant piece of masonite board into it which made it rigid with supportive strength as well as providing a good platform for landscape material. The Woodland Scenics material I plan to use will really bring "life" into the display . . .

I went with that same set up.
I think it is an impressive and interesting set up.

Mike, I like how you’re borrowing a page from my picture frame display playbook and taking it to a much larger level 😎

BTW, now that there’s some figures for scale, that castle looks a tad smaller than it seemed in the video you posted in the JJD Facebook group 😉

Mike,

Congratulations on a fine set up. These figures are so well done that even a highly disciplined AWI only collector like me was tempted to dive in.

Your set up here makes it all the more tempting!

Great job.

Your use of inexpensive pictures frames to make your WWII vignettes is brilliant and certainly caught my attention as you well know. The castle may look a tad smaller in these photos than in the video I shared but it still is quite a large structure by any means . . . Very heavy too . . .

Your discipline to strictly collect AWI is admirable Mark. I have a much different "will power" than you . . . I "will" collect everything that stirs my imagination . . .

Good one Mike!! :) Sometimes I wish I had you "will" power......haha.

El Cid and the other mounted figures look great. Of course I will probably say that about the mounted figures coming later this year from the Battle of Cowpens. If JJ hadn't given us a preview of the upcoming AWI I might have given in on this Crusades range.

Those Castle walls look amazing. Too bad I did not have the space and finances for this series as well :p

Mike,

Your castle has incredible detail and it will truly come to life once your landscape is in. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Great looking castle!

Thanks Mark

Thank you. I've all but run out of display space myself. I had to do some creative reorganizing in order to make room for this.

Thank you very much. As soon as I get some more adhesive I'll start the landscaping.
