Hey Guys:

Any guess as to what Andy's September surpise is at the Chicago show? Let me start first. Reviewing Andy's past threads and comments, here are some possibilities:

1. Tank Transporter
2. US M32 Tank Recovery Vehicle
3. Opel Blitz Truck or Maultier
4. Bedford Lorry
5. Kettenkrad
6. M3 White Scout Car
7. Another Tiger Tank??? Nahhh

My hunch tells me its the M32 Tank Recovery Vehicle to compete head-on with Honor Bound's Bergepanther.

Wasn't there talk from Sierra about an 8th Army vehicle? Maybe that's it.

As long as we are in the "second guessing" business, I agree that the M19/M20 Tank Transporter shown might be good. I know that Andy isn't into repaints, but with minor variations this vehicle is appropriate for both the British Forces (I believe from North Africa onward) and for US Forces (used well into 1945 even with the addition of the M25 "Dragon Wagon").

Andy also mentioned something about a flak weapon in a ground attack role. I'm hoping for a flakpanzer since he's already got the chassis. It's always been one of my favorite vehicles.

Its like Christmas eve, only better! Well, I know one thing I'm getting from Andy at the show: A one of a kind M7 in 8th Army markings. I'll send photos to Brad to post for you when I get back.

A multiple 20 mm cannon as appeared on Saving Private Ryan would make an interesting piece.

An M-7 is Great Louis, but, also I remember you Guys talking Earlier in this Year, about Andy possibly given us an 8TH Army Bedford/Lorry Truck? I would like to have Both of these Vehicle's, and could use a Kettenkrad, for DAK-Afrika Korps, and a Opel Maultier Cargo Truck-on Halftracks?

The Bedford is something we'd like to say but I don't believe Andy, unfortunately, has committed to making. However, I will follow up with him and start bugging him again.
