Andy's Sketches for Sale on Ebay (1 Viewer)

Couldn't sell my set,they are going to look so good once i've got them framed alongside my cabinets.

Sure, why not peddle stuff on Ebay that was given as a gift to show customers how much the manufacturer appreciates their business.

The prints and show give away figures cost K & C nothing (he waves a magic wand and they magically appear), so why not peddle them to the highest bidder..........:rolleyes:
 
Isn't it better for them to go to someone that really wants them?

If they have little meaning to the seller they might just wind up in a drawer.

I have now tried on several occassions to obtain the figure myself, dealing

with less then stellar collectors I haven't had any luck.:rolleyes:

Why not post a Wanted with a nice Picture in the classified section? I

have had good luck with that picking up a figure I needed from Chuck Harris,

and a different figure I was looking for from Kilted Vampire!

Two great collectors, both a little under the weather, and I hope they are

both feeling better real soon!

Heres a picture of the figure Tom needs if anyone has it available for sale

or trade!

I stay out of this Ebay conversation relative to speculator etc, but I will say I have a problem with someone putting a "gift" figure on Ebay.
As previuosly stated by George, these were gestures of appreciation by Andy and Rick.
I personally would feel like , for lack of a better word a "w----" for trying to peddle my gift to the highest bidder.
If you don,t want it, offer it for postage to someone on this board who could not attend the show.
Just my thoughts.

No, do you know what's really better; if you don't want it, don't take it, leave it for someone else who may want it.

Pretty simple; don't take what you don't want.
 
:D:D I'm all for ingrates selling their show figures:D:D..I'm a fan of the figarti winter figures and it killed me to think there was another one out there from this years chicago show that I couldn't get:D:D Was lucky that someone put one up for sale on ebay , which I snapped up at the very reasonable price of $38:cool::cool:

As regards the K&C show figure ,that must be one of the most expensive single K&C figures ever at $192:eek:
 
Here's my bleeding heart moment: I'll point out that maybe the guy selling it couldn't help it, but needs the money, and is parting with a particularly prized piece of his collection. Shame on you all for assuming that some nefarious "speculator" grabbed it to make a profit!

Well unfortunatley not all the Collectors that would have loved to be at the
show were able to attend. Some of us have tried to obtain the items in a variety of ways.

I offered to buy a ticket and give the meal to the wife or friend of a person attending the event not interested in the items......no luck.

I tried to make a deal with two different fellow "Collectors".....one was just
impossible to deal with over shipping.

The other made a deal then to this day refused to return messages then gave the figure away........go figure? You want to be a nice guy, fine....just
respond when you are conversing with another Collector.

So in short, if this fellow has something that really doesn't interest him and he wants to pass it to someone that would like it whats the harm?

I personally would like a nice framed set of the Sketches for my Den, and
would be quite pleased with the chance to obtain them.
 
Why fleece the seller??? So what?

Some people got and some people want and who are any of us to judge a person by what he or she chooses to sell?

If you wish to measure a person by that standard then you ought take a good hard look at your own life - every aspect and ask if you truly measure up to the standard you are trying to set.
 
Hey it's no worse than people selling K&C advertisement brochures or collector mags on ebay which we've all seen. They're just sketches, not the Mona Lisa.

:D:D Somebody could make a few quid just photocopying them on good quality paper..then we could all have a set:D:D:D They would be nice to have:)
 
I started this thread because I was bemused by the idea of the sketches being sold. However, I was not passing a judgment on anyone selling or buying these so my apologies if it seemed that way. I agree with John: if they're not your thing and you can get them to a collector who will enjoy them, there's nothing wrong with that. If you live in a glass house...........
