A force made up of Canadians, Australians and Imperial troops escort loyal inhabitants from the area around the village of Douglas and return safely to the town of Belmont, north West of Cape Colony


Here a company of Queenslanders, from the Australian contingent, make their way to the Bates farm

The Queenslanders arrive at the Bates farm and get ready to offer help and protection

















While on the march to safety the children of the Loyalists have their spirits kept up by singing

February 1900 - Sailors from the Naval Brigade man the firing slits in the armoured carriage as the train moves out

Rifles would not have bayonets attached when firing through the slits therefore Mike at Little Legion remodeled his existing NB firing figures giving them new arms with rifles without bayonets.

Two Maxim gun crews guard an Armoured train while the Royal Artillery prepare to operate the guns, a "Special Guest" has joined the gun crews :wink2:
