I thought I read gas masks are actually terrible for COVID. Now, I dunno, wouldn't common sense say if a gas mask prevents a chemical attack, why the hell would they not work for COVID???? I swear, talk about the old adage, don't believe what you see or read...........................

Like I said. Common sense, it is hard to come by nowadays.

at this point Hobby Bunker will not be attending. It is a thousand miles round trip. That is 3 gas stops, food, hotel, etc. I have to drive through CT, NY, NJ, MD and VA. My time and expenses are the same. My issue is the crowd. Sure the buyers will show up. But how many???? Half? does that mean my sales would be half?

It asked a few people in the shop if they would go to a show right now. They said probably not.

My store is absolutely rocking right now. Business is great. if I am there I am not here. If I get an overwhelming amount of calls, emails etc. I may may change my mind. Right now I only have a couple people who have asked.

Matt, I have a feeling it will be the opposite. Because it is a small show and the only one happening in the area more people will show up.
I was at the show last year (purchased a few figures from you) and will go again this year.
At the end of the day in my mind it is not different than going to the grocery store...perhaps even safer actually due to the awareness.

Reminder:

Toy Soldier Show this Saturday in Virginia. Come out in your masks and see a few toy soldiers. It is a wide open space, indoor, high ceilings. COVID safety will be enforced as it is a Fire Hall Venue. They have successfully recently held bingo and baseball card shows without apparent issues, so hopefully all works well and then another show in December!

I will not be able to make it to this one. I just got back from the show in Lafayette, IN. The crowds were smaller as expected but the collectors that came were spent their money. I didn't wear a mask like most of the other people there. Some people did. I already had the virus so I was not concerned. I had a nice time and did well buying and selling.

Quick show report. Had a great time and folks showed up. Not the largest show attendance but I must say sales were quite fine. Those who came, came with enthusiasm and were happy to get out. Getting back to a show was good for the soul so to speak!
