Sorry 'bout that Jeff. Did you see the East of India photo's that got through? Now they are what strikes me as awesome.
Told you we picked up some really nice stuff during our holiday in Thailand, didn't I.
Tell you what though, we saw exact copies of those Chinese facades that are featured in both these photo's, and the EoI one's, in an extremely posh shopping mall in Bangkok. Almost fainted when I asked the price..!! We got them for about tuppence here in Dalian last year - so while Lucy's getting the latest painting framed tomorrow, I'll be on a mission to see if I can hunt down another set of the same facades before the price goes up here as well.

I'm meaning the one with the red doors in the photo below. Sorry about all tonight's photo's - it's Dark O'Clock here in China and I had to use the flash on the camera.

Anyway, they're available as a set in three different sizes - at least, I hope they're still available cos they really add an extra dimension to the displays.

Wow, beautiful settings, Harry! Good to see you again, too!

Prost!

It's so nice seeing you playing again Harry and looking forward to seeing what else you have headed our way......The Lt.

Thanks guy's. I appreciate the positive feedback you too Louis.

Here's some more;

We stumbled over these Chinese building facades last year in this vast shopping complex here in Dalian. As a matter of fact we just got back from an expedition to get some more. The shop didn't have any of the larger one's but mission was 75% accomplished. The wall sections are reversible and I'm definitely going to get a few more of them.
I've only ever seen them once before, that was in a fine china shop in an extremely posh shopping mall in Bangkok and the price they were trying to sell them for was risible - once I recovered from the shock.
Here's some snaps straight out of the boxes. As you can see, the doors need a bit of attention, but that's easy enough fixed. I included some East of India Ninja/Ronin - nuthin' to do with giving you an idea of scale - simply cos I luv em.

PS. Sorry about the curtain backdrop, wasn't me who chose them.....
:) :)

Jeff - you'll be back in the good books fairly soon I would think - depending on "Postman Pat" of course.
;) ;)
Yvonne's request was successfully addressed today - and shall be addressed again on Monday - puns intended.

Complete change of pace this time guys. Here's the LRDG and their Bedouin Scouts temporary home, (until I find somewhere better to display them).

Ummm.....well, there's a short and simple answer to that one Bob.....YES!!!!!!

Also, for your general information - Missus Heid, (bless 'er bri-nylon socks) is also solely responsible for my rescue while wounded and my, possibly unexpected - if occasionally haphazard (and probably not 100% warmly welcomed), return from my extended sulky excursion to the Bleak and Frozen North.
;);) :cool::cool:

Hi OD - Long Time, No Speak.

It's no sweat. We don't live in an earthquake zone and there's no heavy traffic rumbling outside the door, so they're safe enough.

Not a 100% historically accurate display of the Thin Red Line, (although I reckon the present groundwork and backdrop is quite fetching), just its temporary home.
Of course it needs a proper Command set - with the correct Colour, Sir Colin Campbell, a Piper and an ADC. But once I get those, then I'll construct a proper base, and that French Farmhouse facade plus the Black Watch Napoleonic can be put to other uses.

Regards
Harry

That's rather awesome looking Harry. I just picked up my first two figures from Thin Red Line and was very happy with them.
