Here are a few more of his vignettes. Other than the two large dioramas on tables shown earlier, the remainder of the collection is displayed in custom-built book cases.

Absolutely breathtaking pics. I've enjoyed viewing them all immensely. It just goes to show you how impressive and passionate collectors are especially when they have the time and money to "go for it".

Thank you, I am glad you liked them. You are right---time and money can make all the difference in the world.

Mike,
Hi.
In the topmost dispaly are those Heyde Greeks? If yes, what scene are they depicting?
Thanks
MikeNick

Hi Mike,

I am pretty sure that he told me that they were Heydes, but that the scene was Germanicus and the Romans versus Germans.

It has all been said - but it is quite superb!

Thank you. I appreciate your comments. I know that many Forum members don't live where there are large numbers of toy soldier collectors and therefore don't have the opportunity to see that many other collections.

Three more vignettes. I especially like the Roman street scene with the slave market.

Mike,
Hi.
Do you happen to know the manufacturer of the Greeks fighting against the elephant?
MikeNick

What a collection, just wonderful, thanks again!

I love all of the elephants!!!!!!

I also took a few photos of this collector's elegant house. The photo of the spread in the kitchen does not do it justice. He had an Italian deli provide crusty Italian bread, all sorts of sliced meats and cheese, olives, pastries, deserts, etc. It was quite a feast.
