Antony and Cleopatra (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Thanks once again for your gracious comments. I was lucky with this piece.

Surprisingly, this was the grand daddy of the recent bunch of 7 shadow boxes so far completed. It was made about 2 years back and I had learned quite a bit from it. I hadn't had a chance to post it as I was trying to figure out the internal lighting which was casting a yellowish light. These were the photos.

About a year back, as I was working on the Paris and Helen piece, I figured out that I could use coloured transparent plastic folders to act as colour filters. So I selected a slightly purplish colour to filter out the yellow ight, giving me this final colour for which I took several pics in a darkened room for your delectation.

Enjoy!

Hi All,

This piece and "Samson and Delilah" has just been featured on this website

http://www.boxdioramas.com/victor-wong

It's not the latest pics and I believe they update the site irregularly. Besides my stuff, there are many other shadowbox dioramas to enjoy.

Victor, if not already done, you may need to Replace the warm yellow (2700k) light with a cool white (4000k).

And congrats on your deserved recognition in TSC magazine.

Hi Matt,

thx for your gracious inputs. TSC took their time...hahahha. I guess I remain a slight oddity in the TSC world....more hahaha..

When I first expt with LED strips, I had bought a roll of warm lights then. Since then I have bought cool white lights as well. They just last forever 20-30K hrs or several years. The coloured plastic sheets are so convenient to alter the light hues.

Hey Victor,

you should be able to get some adjustable temp strip leds. All the led downlights in my house have three temp options; 2500k, 4000k or 6000k, the later I only use in my hobby room as they're operating theater bright ha ha

Hi Matt,

I know of those adjustable temp lights. I may use them in the future for my overall displays.
