Any particular reason for thread deletion...? (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering if the powers that be would explain why the thread "My compliments to FL" was deleted by a moderator? I never got a chance to see the images as the full sized ones wouldn't load for me...any explanation for it's deletion?

It had nothing to do with the content of the thread...there was an issue with the photo hosting site (one of the moderators clicked through to see better and the hosting site took over his computer).

If you delete the first post of a thread, it deletes the entire thread.

The person who posted them has been asked to download the pics to his own computer and re-upload them to the forum. We hope to see the images back!

Thanks Peter, that probably explains why i was unable to view the larger photos. I really want to see them so I do hope he takes the time to post them up to the forum properly.

Also, one of the moderators had a devil of a time getting his computer going again after viewing the thread.

When I clicked on it and it took me to Webshots I immediately closed my browser. I don't like Webshots.

Ha ha sorry for the trouble guys!

I am usually busy making money (to buy toy soldiers) and so it will take me some more time to post the pics again.

Guys

Steer well clear of webshot-it can kinda infect your crystal set:(

I use webshots for my screensavers and backgrounds but thats about it. I find it to unwieldy for much else. However Ive also never had a problem with it, maybe because I dont use it for much.

A photo hosting website

To me, photobucket is much, much better.

Wholeheartedly agree. I use Photobucket as well, thanks to The Lt for introducing me to it.
Only problem I've ever had with it is when the internet connection is a bit dodgy, but that doesn't affect me when I'm at home cos we have an excellent broadband service. So I would also recommend Photobucket to anyone who wants to edit and post photos on-line.

Cheers
