I'm going to the Hackensack show...

I may get some of John's time...

does anyone have any questions they would like me to ask him...

FIW...Sudan...Culloden...WWII...

I'll do my best to get you an answer if at all possible...

Thanks Mike for taking some time if possible to ask some questions.

I actually have 2 questions.

Will JJ expand their WW1 line to include some tanks?

Will their be new WW1 planes offered such as a Spad?

not a problem...I put these on my list...

Mike,

ask John if he has any more plans for Culloden Cavalry and maybe artillery, as they will go nicely with 7 Years War in Europe too.

Hope you have a great day at the show,

John

John...not a problem...Culloden artillery is already on my list...as is depth of Dragoons...I will ask him about Highland mounted for you...and celebrity mounted Highland figures (Prince Bonnie)...

I'll try and wrangle his resins for you...I don't think he usually brings them back with him...

since you did such a nice job on the TIC Grenadiers...^&grin

If you have not tried John's patience with all the request's, really think a Sudan vignette of a heliograph team, similar to the Frontline Zulu or the upcoming K&C Light Horse sets, would go down well with the Sudan collectors. A Gordon peering thru a pair of binoculars, would be very versatile in the series. What are the chances. Wish I could attend the show, you have a good time Mike, hopefully some photos. Cheers, Robin.

Robin...I personally love the idea of a Gordon officer looking through binocuolars and especially a heliograph set too...I have been campaigning in emails to him for some time for an artillery officer for 1814 with a telescope or binoculars...to no avail so far...

I would be happy to mention both your ideas...

when I first started collecting JJD...I sent him so many requests that he would eventually just laugh and say...

"I'll put it on my list"...

and...

"Everytime he looked at his long 'Mike Miller' list...he got tired"...

^&grin^&grin^&grin^&grin^&grin

but I promise I will ask him...

I was not aware that Frontline Zulu offered a heliograph set...if you have a picture...could you post it please...

I will print this out and "force" JJ to drink a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch with me that I'm bringing...

Hi Mike could you ask him if he is going to make a STUKA.................:D

Na joking mate could you please ask him if he is going to make any more WW2 planes and figures ground crews etc, thanks mate.

You know Wayne, there were Stukas in the Spanish Civil War, so it would fit in with that series. Okay, only 3 where there, but still they were there. Maybe Mike should ask if John is going to make a Stuka, and will it be out in time for Christmas?:smile2:

Matthew

The 3 JU-87s were A models. 5 B models also went to Spain but that was very near the end of the war. If JJD makes more planes for Spain, I would next expect Russian I-15 or I-16

Terry

Mike,

my question was also to include any more British cavalry, not necessary Scots... but they would be nice too,

John

John...did you mean the depth of the Dragoons or addittional British Cavalry?

Thanks for all the additions Mike. It is going to be quite a list. I think you mentioned you might have dinner with John. It would be funny to pull out about 20 sheets of paper while saying, "I just have a few questions folks on the forum wanted me to ask." I wonder what John's expression would be?

Anyway - don't make him too drunk with that scotch. He'll won't remember what you talked about.{eek3}

Maybe I should take a ream of blank pages and put them in a spiral folder to throw on the table...that should scare him...

Hi Mike,

The binder would be good. But he could see that in your arms and make a quick exit. Pulling out sheets of folded paper from various pockets would be funny, especially if they were written on things like that back of a gas tank fill up receipt, or a coaster, or a few napkins.

And maybe the scotch will help with the questions. Save up the ones you really want him to do for the end. As you are pouring him another wee dram of scotch, "and how about some 1814 artillery crew?"

I think you are going to have a lot of fun. Just don't go all shy on us and become "Star Struck." Then you won't be able to ask anything.

That would be me actually if I were there.:redface2:

Matthew

We heard mention of Prussians for the SYW and also the Indian theatre........any current plans?
I hear that Frontline's new SYW sets are selling well. I'm in big if John goes this route!

Hi Mike,

That is one really great list :)
I am especially curious to learn the answers to the Culloden questions!

Actually I have an additional Culloden question, as I wonder whether John is planning on doing any more Jacobite Lowland infantry (the JR-23 set being one of my favorites)!
