Anyone else got Cats? (2 Viewers)

Here you go the Sphynx cat...............

:eek::eek::eek: nah i do not like this kind of cats!!!!
This is what i was talking about in previous post, ugly looking cats with funny ears,...
Well which bread of cats are the laziest one?
Because i am looking for a nice cudly lazy cat, that will not mess out my house,no hanging on the curtains,no craping on the roses,no sharping their nails on the furniture,....and that will stay inside the house because i will be afraid if the car hits her outside.
So how you manage to keep your cat inside the house?
Or if you allow her go outside but did she return home?

I grew up with cats but now I have two dogs:

Great dogs Gideon,do you race them? There sporting relys have paid for alot of my Soldier collection...............:D

Nope, these guys are retired.

In fact, the dark brindle one (Tank) by the skin of his teeth.

A few years back, the track in Connecticut was closing. So the call went out to all the rescue groups - "we have over a thousand dogs. You have two weeks to pick them up then we'll start putting (x number) down per day."

The black and white one (Duke) was a consistent 1st, 2nd, 3rd placement but then his day came to. He was adopted by someone who just dropped him in off in a pound in southern NJ. He was picked up by someone else, surrendered to another adoption group, fostered by several people until we took him in.

Really, greyhound racing is a fun thing to watch but what happens afterward is frustrating. These dogs go through a lot to wind up as pets if they even get that far.

I raced one years ago,got to attached and retired her and she become a pet.Over here they have certain laws governing greyhounds after they have finished racing. There are schools they go to to stop them chasing everything that moves and most either go to homes or stud. But i dare say some are dumped etc, that side of it ****s me,great dogs brilliant nature.

I've heard of all sorts of laws in AU. I had heard that greyhounds have to be muzzled when they are outdoors - things like that.

They do have great temperaments. Duke (the black and white one) is 11 now and has been my hiking companion for the past 6 years. We used to go to New Hampshire every summer and hike - he is 100% dedicated to outdoors stuff.

Tank is not. He is the friendliest dog I've ever met - all he wants is to meet people and be hugged while Duke doesn't want to meet anybody or any other dogs - nothing. Just hike, hike, hike. It's really very funny walking them together. Tank wants to meet other dogs, Duke wants to bite other dogs. Tank wants to be pet by everybody and Duke just hides behind me until the hands are gone. Too funny. Every day is a lot of questions and conversations.

Here is the newest addition to our family.

Her name is Lola. We picked her up last night, she is 5 months old.

We have two Cats one sleeps all day and the other likes to hunt..It likes to catch Lizards something to chew on i guess

I rescued a stray kitten when my son was about 7 months old. Her name is "Thickett", since I had to crawl into a thorn bush to get her. She is very attached to me, and sits on my lap or my shoulders whenever I am working or surfing the web. She also loves to hang out in the museum, and occasionally knocks over a figure moving around. She's a pest, but she's a part of the family . . .

I've had five cats in the last seven years, the two we have now and three that died. One of them liked to go out of the house and he always came back after a few hours, until one day he didn't come back. I think a coyote ate him. His replacement was killed by the neighbor's dog when he was a kitten, his neck was broke, in front of my wife, she was very distraught. Next we had a Siamese that ate the flowers in the vase on the table. We didn't know that Lilys are poisonous to cats. So the cats we have now we've had as kittens, they have never been out of the house and they don't know what they are missing. We are careful about plants and flowers now too. As for sharping their claws on the furniture, we have a "cat tree"; special furniture for their use. Each cat had a different personality, some of them will want to jump on counters and climb curtains and others won't. We have a lazy cat like you want but she is a Maine Coon, with lots of fur, not good for allergys. I hope this is helpful.

Only one way to deal with cheeky moggies!
