Hello fellow collectors...

Just wanted some feedback on flames whilst photographing my King & Country items... I haven't seen this done before although it may well have... What does everyone think ?

cheers

I think it looks good but you better tell those GIs to get that Jeep away from that building ASAP {eek3}

I am a retired firefighter from an extremely busy Fire Dept, I have seen my share of fire..great idea but your scale on the flame is off and the flames would have to come out of the building.......some smoke would help also.

Keep working on it....

Just light a fire at the back of the building mate,its just the weather for it.........................^&grin^&grin

Then there is the cotton method......This would probably work best, just do what I did here but stick the cotton in the building.

The realities of war bought home by fire & explosion, very effective.^&cool, Robin.

Just remembered this......I knew I did a building a while back with the cotton method. Put some lighting behind it

Not bad Marc, I reckon you'll master it.

Be careful in taking Wayno's advice by the way as you might have a fire engine and some angry boys in blue knocking at your door! {sm2}{sm4}

Thanks Guy... I sort of wanted to have that "interior on fire" look and not the whole building externally... I'll keep playing and see how I go.

Cheers

I think it is just great. What a great backdrop You have there. It is wonderful. Keep up the great work.{bravo}}

Even with the interior fire, smoke obviously escapes from the building, the shading you encompassed the last set of pics with gives the sense of smoke shrouding the building. I think it conveys the message well.

As much as I have been involved with fire and smoke and I have used it in many scenes, I think this thread has provoked me to study it a bit more and see if even a better job can be done.

Lets work on this and see what we come up with.

There is fire in this room which is being knocked down but it sort of explains the smoke escape. ( The pics orientation hopefully will correct itself shortly )
