Nope, but as a "temp" I'm not getting a paid holiday either.

I had to work Thanksgiving and today. Also this year, the days work out that I have to work Christmas Eve and Day also New Years Eve and Day. The joys of public service! Happy Holidays to everyone!
It is cool that Portugal celebrates my birthday! I am honored!

On the flipside, I am taking Monday off

All done working!:) However there is always something to do! Today I have to get ready for a train show which should keep me busy for most of the afternoon!

Nice to be able to take a day off; no such luck on this end, Fed Ex dropped off 17 boxes from K & C today, all are repacked, most are on the way, UPS is off today, so the rest go out on Monday...............:)

I looked it up on line and a very happy Independence Day from Spain. I shall drink a glass of wine to Portugal on the first!

Hi Dave, many thanks! Yes it was indeed Restoration day, Portugal had been under 3 successive Spanish Kings, a real disaster... We've always had our quarrels with the Spanish through the centuries, but not in the last one hundred years or so, they are now «nuestros hermanos» and even harbor Cristiano Ronaldo, coach José Mourinho and other Portuguese soccer stars at Real Madrid (hope they win against Barcelona tomorrow...);).
Yes, I know out of thread but still nice conversation...

Cheers,
Paulo
