Why is the new Tiger $215 and the new Firefly $159.They must cost the same to make.So why the price difference.Does a German tank sell so much better that you can ask what ever price you like.Very disappointed at the price.Simmo.

The Firefly and the Arnhem releases look a must, but how many more Tigers do we need:confused:

I can't believe no one has a comment on this issue.Simmo.

simmo,
i won't comment of the pricing as i'm not interested in that Tiger.
as most here probably knew, i'm a nut for any miniature jerries, but surprisingly, that Firefly aesthetically appeals to me more than the Tiger. (is this your voodoo spell Rob? ;))
but i do like the look of the Captured!, Panzer Feldgendarme, and the Additional German Tankers sets.

Lacking in numbers this time?
wasn't much diversity in this Dispatch?

Gee I hope it is as I will gladly be a fool.Oh maybe the joke is on me.Good one K&C you caught me hook line and sinker.Oh I am very foolish and thought stupidly .Simmo.

Sadly, I am afraid that you are correct

Nice releases, as usual. The Panzer troops will be useful but I must agree that the Tiger price is off-putting. It is over my self-imposed maximum that I have only exceeded twice in several years. Once was for KC's King Tiger. Don't know if I will do it again, but I have some time to decide (save up) about the Tiger.;) --Al

Being a WWII fan I am a little disapointed in the new releases. I like the Tiger but, it is not as detailed for me especially around the wheels area as the SL Tiger and, why do we always have to have the marching, at ease, plus how many more Feldgendarmie do we really need? Also, I know the tiger is popular amongst collectors but, we are due a Jagpanther, a new 8 wheeled armoured car, Nebelwerfer and, the list goes on.

I would also appreciate a little less saluting, especially, from the named officers and, officers in general and, a bit more reality as these are field poses and, in the SS there was not as much saluting as goes on at K&C. Field poses for me, include: Tank crew resting and, have another camp fire (like WSS70SL) proper german mechanics etc. I have, and I am sure K&C must have thousnds of WWII refernce books and, we do seem to be getting stuck in a rut with the poses and, the narrowness of vehicle release.
I appreciate that he has to release what he thinks will sell but, it seems to have lost that bit of daring that was apparant years ago it seems with just a small variation we are staying along the tried and trusted route. I also appreciate that he is in this to make money and, thats fair enough but, I think that a fair few other makers at the moment are taking that leap and producing top WWII afv's figarti for one.

I know that you cannot please everyone all of the time but, lots of collectors I deal with and speak with are saying the same stuff and, are buying from other companies due to this very point.

I think, and I am a K&C collector, but this month has been one of the poorest that I can remember for many a year.

Very True....The Tiger looks only OK....It seems to lack "add on" detail especially lacking exhaust screens and bent fenders, mud etc.... ...I exspect a little more detail.....and yes always the same LAH type poses with different painted uniform colors,(saluting, at ease, marching etc) ,.....a ground support crew for the tiger would have made it interesting....K/C seems to be in a rut for WWII......They are getting a strong challenge from both First Legion and Figarti....Oh well same old same old I guess.

Andy

You have some very nice releases this month - CONGRATS !

I especially like the TIGER with Crew releases - I might actually buy all those figures with the Tiger and create a small display. Very nice indeed.

THANK YOU - for the RHA release - it is a beauty ! :D - nothing like having a Artillery Team in Action for the Fight (even a British One ;) ). Look forward to more great releases in the NAPOLEONIC range.

I still think RUSSIAN / GERMANS are a very funny marketing strategy - good luck with that one. Well at least you are doing something for the Eastern Front Guys. :p

Still quite interested that you haven't retired that much this month? Wondering if overall sales have slowed down due to the economy? - Usually with this many new release I thought there would be many more retirements. Don't get me wrong - less retirements do give collectors more time to catch up - me included - its just an observation.

Overall - so many very creative releases and another reason why King & Country is the MARKET LEADER.
