Are Thomas Gunn's newer figures smaller and same size as First Legion figures? (2 Viewers)

I keep seeing reference to the fact that TGM is producing new figures that are the same size as FL. I've seen proclamations that the new Romans, WW2 FJs, and now NAPs are the same size as FL.

Does anyone have any pictures of these new smaller TGM figures next to FL figures to show/prove this new compatibility?

I just got a new order of TGM and placed them next to my K&C and order TGM and didn't notice a difference in size. Ron

K & C tend to be larger than First Legion so I'm not sure that answers Hunter's question.

Good question:salute::

Comparison of K&C, TGM and FL NAPs standing figures.

The first figure is a basic K&C (in pink), then an older TGM figure, then a just released TGM Landwehr figure and finally an FL figure. Clearly the size of TGM NAPs has changed.

Note the high quality paint job on the new TGM figure compared to the FL figure

I guess that answers that. Looks compatible to me. Thanks Terry for posting. I am guessing they would work with Britains as well.

WB, JJD and TCS also have NAPs and I do have some of each - but don't even think about it ^&grin I have no idea what size the to be released TCS NAPs are or if their size has changed.

The rumour that the TGM WWII figures have shrunk appears to be false. I confirmed it with one of the TGM dealers when I ordered the just released 120mm mortar set

The first two figures in the photos are basic K&C. The middle figure is an old TGM figure and the last two figures are from the newly released 120mm mortar set. It's not a perfect comparison as most of my TGM WWII figures are prone or kneeling firing MG, canon or mortars. I don't have any FL WWII figures, but most people have seen K&C and FL figures compared and the FL figures would be much smaller than the figures in these pictures. The two new TGM figures on the right are at least as big as the older TGM figure in the middle

Thanks Again Terry for posting. Very much appreciated. :) The painting also looks pretty good too.

I can only speak for Thomas Gunn's KGL figures but they certainly seem smaller than earlier Napoleonic issues.
The attach photo illustrates the point.Thomas Gunn sizes.jpg

I would say this photo is indisputable as regards a TG scale change for Naps. The FSJs seem to be the same scale old and new. I guess TG will have to explain why one line is changing scale and if other lines will change in future? W. Britains changed from 54 to 58-60mm and did not bother to advise their customers. Thje change seems to have started in 2009 with the Osprey Art series. The
25005 FSJ measures 60mm top of base to top of head. A perfect match with First Legion figures. Also perfect with the Figarti Panther G. I hope TG advertises and identifies the new size on the box as Figarti did when it changed from 1/32 to 1/30!

Yes, the latest Prussians are the best Tom has produced in both painting and poses,

I've got the Pomeranian set now.

Well Done,

John

Whilst the apparent change in scale with the Napoleonic figures will put some off who prefer the K&C sized figures, others like myself who have mostly stuck to W Britain's figures in the past may well welcome this chance to add new Regiments to their collection, while keeping to a very similar sized figure.
I know I do and have welcomed the chance to add some Prussians to my collection and hopefully will add more as the range is expanded.

Sorry I forgot to properly address the concern in my previous email about the sudden and unexpected reduction in the figures size.
Yes I do agree that an announcement would of been good to the effect that these figures were of a smaller scale and if it was just for this range and if a permanent feature for those already collecting them as opening a new purchase and finding new figures of a totally different size would be very annoying to say the least especially if having been collecting for some time.
I know this myself having been annoyed with the older Ertl Britian's being wildly different sizes in the same range.

Gunn Miniatures; Are the TG WWII figures going to be reduced to 60mm as measured and compatable with First Legion and W. Britains figures?
