Maximus dixit: Ave Cesar, morituri te salutant!

If my guess is right, that's the phrase that will come out of my lips to be heard by First Legion.:D

Well Paulo I am not sure if you intended Maximus as a proper noun but either way I would be thrilled if your guess is right.;):D

I love Gladiator and was very dissappointed when the Blu-ray release was of such poor quality. Thankfully, the studio recognized that as well and a remastered version is supposed to be available by the summer.;)

Yes great movie, will FL provide a great movie as well? Something tells me they will...

I'm going out on a limb here, but I did notice that the Stalingrad Germans are cataloged GERSTALOO1 to whatever it will end on . I'm my mind this is for Stalingrad Germans so as not to confuse them with the other Germans  , So maybe the new line will start GERBERLOO1 or GERARNH001 for Berlin or Arnhem or whatever Battle First Legion decide to branch out into .. I know Matt would not tell me even if I was correct so , I guess its just food for thought . Maybe its not a totally new period just a twist on a current one . :) I do remember hearing that there will be more then one new line introduced this year so maybe we are all correct . The possibilities are limitless   Gebhard

So far, I'm picking up 2 hints from Matt that it may be something Italian in nature... Rome may be a possibility, but which period???

If FL does Imperial Rome then I will be joining the FL band wagon.

Add me in on that wish list, would love to see some berlin/arnhem series hopefully it's all going to be covered over a period of time...Sammy

I would prefer the Republic period, myself... Imperial Rome has been done many times already and is currently offered by East of India and it looks like Conte will be taking another stab at it...

Could it be The battle of Cannae? That would be something!!! :)

Some of these guesses are entertaining, I'll give you guys that......;)

Since I know what the new range is, this is all pretty enjoyable; if you guess enough times, sooner or later one of you will be right.........:p

How do we know if you know, unless you tell us ahead of time and we will see if you are right!?:D;)

If it were a WWII ITALIAN FRONT - I would totally die! that would make my year! Probably the most or one of the most diverse theaters in the Second World War! Though if it were BATTLE of BERLIN, i would be happy with that too! No need for Arnhem, late war Western Front is already done enough! BUT PLEASE - NO MORE OLD OR ANCIENTS!!!

It has been done but has it been done the way it could be, that is the question.;) I personally like the Rome of Caesar or Marcus Aurelius Rome but as long as we have the Legions I can be pretty flexible on the period, there are so many to chose from.

Any news when "Russian Infantry" will be released ?

The pre-order will start in a few weeks, shipping around late April. 20 different figures in total of the Russian Tauride Grenadier Regiment at Borodino.

Our Napoleonic Russians will finally get some infantry to go along with the Arty, Staff Set, and Cavalry. More coming too. We're obviously pretty biased towards recreating various Russian armies. ;)

Best,

Matt

PS - Great dio photos! You put together some really nice compositions of what is obviously one of of our favorite battles.
