Does K&C have any further plans to add more figures etc to there current "Arnham" series?:)

Thats great news, thanks heaps for the prompt response!! Cheers Toddy:D

Yes welcome to the Forum so far there have been two releases related to Operation Market Garden. The first series began in 1995 and consisted of 8 sets limited to 500 pieces each with a certificate. They followed this with additional releases of the first 8 sets (with no certificates) and an additional 8 sets for a total release of 16 sets. Most of these are quite valuable and in high demand, they are really first rate pieces.

The second series is Operation Market Garden and is still current with new releases expected in the spring, and a nice selection of current items. You also may catch some of the recently retired pieces before they become difficult to find.

It is one of my two favorite series, and I will be glad to provide you any information or photos that you might like.:)

Or me...I do not take much interest in either of then as my name would suggest!;)

Any help you need!:D

Thanks heaps guys for all your replies......its nice to discover the forum and be part of it!! Cheers:D

Can't wait for this next Arnhem wave in 2010,throw in more Brits for D Day and next year is going to be an expensive one!

Also new to K&C and am concentrating on the Market Garden series with the other WW2 sets a close second. Seems like I'm more than a bit late as I saw a 75mm pack howitzer with a 3 man crew along with a mortar team. Any chance (however slim) of finding these items short of commiting a felony? Also does the series have any diorama pieces to go with it or are you pretty much on your own?

Well you never know whats round the corner as K&C are putting out some great diorama stuff lately. As a WW2 collector I can't wait for next years Arnhem wave,I think it'll be a collecting highlight of 2010.

Here us a shot of the Original Diorama piece Andy built for the Original Arnhem release back in 1995.

AN04 "The Gunners" shows up a lot on Ebay in the $300 range. ANo8 "The

Mortar Team" usually goes in the $200-$300 range.:)

The first 500 sets of AN04 & AN08 came with a certificate which is nice to

have if you can find one. The second time they were released they did not

come with a certificate.

Njja,

Always good to meet a fellow student of Arnhem. $200-$300? A bit steep but

I would take the plunge. Went on eBay today looking for retired MG pieces

but no go. But did pick up the "Souvenir Hunters" and "Col. Vandervoot" from

the D-Day series. So far all my pieces remain in their boxes-have any advice

on dios?

Yes, you must display at least some of your collection so you can enjoy it

daily!:) Put a few pieces up on your desk, or on a shelf in your den.....or

like many of us just take over an entire room or two!:D

For some ideas try Bill Sager's great site http://www.toysoldiersusa.com/

go to Private Collections and see what some of the fellows have come up

with. Theres a certain Louis B and Alex P that have collections that will set

your head to spinning!:)

Its all good, and there are lots of interesting diorama pieces you can find

photos of, along with just about any information you could every want on

King & Country on Bill's site!

I have spent countless hours there doing research before I make a buy on

a retired piece I have been looking for.

I can't describe the fun you will have walking into a nice den filled with lots

of interesting items you have found......and memories you have made!:)

Theres nothing like it!:)

Heres a couple of shots from my den. 1st is Backlot Buildings Display.

2nd is small display cabinet with a few old winter pieces!:)
