Arsenal Thrashing (1 Viewer)

Gunners are now surging, having climbed to 7th and within sight of fourth for a Champions League spot. Van Persie is on fire!

Today that are at Norwich.

Manchester City?

Is that a real team or made up?

Did you mean Manchester Utd?

:)

No - it is a real team, in fact I think they are 6:1 for the title now.

Arsenal should not be written off from the title, it is still very early.

Surging!!!! watching the game now and Norwich made them look ordinary they have now just taken the lead 2-1 but, they are doing anything but, run rings around them. VP is doing well but, if they lose him to injury or, similar they will be in real trouble. If they keep him fit they should be there or therabouts

Hadn't commented on the match yet but, yes, the Canaries are holding their own but Arsenal has had plenty of chances. It could be much worse.

They got the win but, should have beaten norwich more easily. 6th now on 22 having played an extra game than all above them and, two more than Spurs. Nine points behind Man City.

Big match this afternoon is my own team Newcastle doing supebly, against Man city. Looks like the team news see's mancini eyeing the champions league.

Tough day for the Magpies Mitch :( but I suppose every team that has faced Manchester City has to say that.

It was but, with the termoil at our club of recent years and, the team that we have at the moment I am one happy geordie where we are sitting and, with the points we have. I suppose I have to say it but, it was never a penalty!!!! Shame we did not keep our composure until half time but, we did play well throughout the game.

Man utd next then Chelsea at home. My predictions for these three games was a loss, one win and a draw so, fingers crossed this happens.

I'm sure Mitch's heart must have skipped a beat when Man U scored that goal today in the 94th minute, which was then disallowed {eek3}

I was completely calm!!!!! (I don't even know how I wrote that!!!). You don't expect to get anything at the reds ground but, a penalty and, a correct decision for offside. Must admit the head dropped when I heard Le Tiss scream goal on soccer saterday we really deserved the point.

Roll on chelsea next week AVB will not want to come to St James or, whatever our mad southern shandy drinker has now decided to call our ground this week!!

Ddisappointing result for the Gunners today. Better than no points I suppose.

Overall, I think Arsenal has done pretty well since the 8-2 loss to Man U about 3 months ago.

I was too hasty in saying that Wenger might face the axe after this. He seems to be hanging in there with the Arsenal board.

The Gunners have climbed up from 17th to 6th in the table. It is good to see some character in a team which can pick itself up and fight back.

Raymond.:)

I think with arsenal they lost a lot of good players and, had a few bad results. The moaners in their fan base could not see past their hands and, realise they would fall apart without Wenger who, is a superb manager IMO. Thank god a bored really does have some guts to stand by a man who has made arsenal what they are. 16 teams would love to have champions league every year and have a manager who does not believe you have to spend every five minutes to get success.

There is also no such thing as a easy game in the PL and a point is a good result. I still think arsenal will take a prize this season whether its CL or PL but, I think its arsenals year and, if its stops the two manchester cubs or chelsea getting one of the titles even better

RIP Gary Speed. A true servant to the game of football and, to NUFC amongst many. My thoughts to your family

Good to see Arsenal among the goals - they need to boost that goal difference after that 2-8 slaughter and those recent single-goal margin wins. It's only Wigan but the Gunners did fall to Blackburn during their low spell.

This is neutral at best in the overall scheme of things because Chelsea/Spurs have good 3-0 wins against Newcastle/Bolton. Man City is still running away with that 5-1 Norwich thrashing and Man U should be relieved with a narrow win at Villa. And yet, these 4 are struggling in Europe, while the Gunners managed quite well against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, who are on a good run recently in the Bundelisga which included a win against Bayern (themselves convincing 2-1 conquerors of City).

Still close title race (Mr Clattenburg at Chelsea strikes again) Even at this stage and after losing to Manchester City yesterday, Arsenal and any of top six could still win it.

the title will depend a lot on the inability and fear of these so called professional ref's. This season must be the worst I can remember for outrageous decisions and, refs bottling decisions

close race, United ahead by a good nose. Will it be the 'same old city' or will they do it? Derby on 30th

just have a feeling Man city will beat Utd in their derby then its all to play for with only goal difference being the nose ahead. but, the way the toon are playing I think we will have a big part to play in who wins the title as we play man city and aim to consolodate fourth place. its been a great season!!!!!
