Just having some fun with my Grenadiers on my 4-foot by 8-foot "play" table that is suitable for both ACW and AWI. As I have time, I thought I would take and post a series of photos - no historical comment, just fun for now and I will let the viewer use thier imagination as to what the Grenadiers are doing . . . . . more to come . . . .
:smile2: Mike

This photo shows a 10-man section/squad moving forward in two ranks. My plans are to double this eventually - only need 11 more figures . . .

When I saw this new thread, I knew there would be an excellent picture when I opened it. And sure enough, there it is! Another well posed shot Mike.

Gebhard, I really like the aspect of taking photos of my collection and trying to make them "come to life" with editing techniques. I really need to get a photo editing software program though so I could really do some "tricks" like making the bases disappear into the dio bases I use. I believe that I could say my hobby interest is more the photography than the actual collecting. I have more fun with my TS this way instead of just looking at them on a shelf. And, after all, I can use this as my alibi that I am not "playing toy soldiers" at my age, I am enjoying my "art" :wink2:

This series of photos continues using my large "play table" for the diorama scenes . . .

Hello Mike,

Sets, photos and perfectly staged.
I also like to create an environment (better than shelves showcase) to see my plays.
Thank you for your comments for my photos.

Thank you artmabigor for your kind comments. I am glad you enjoyed my photos. Like you, I feel that photography is a very big part of my TS collecting interest. The series continues . . . .

These are great Mike. You do a wonderful job of putting those scenes together and making them look so real with your photography and design. I have a few of those pieces; I really need to get another base to put them on. Those Hudson and Allen bases are terrific.

Thanks 6th WI. The photo series continues fearturing the 5th Regiment of Foot Grenadiers and my "play" table . . .

...after all who would complain about a few pence tax on tea?

. . . . I can't understand that either Ken, after all it all goes to the bail out of the East India Company. Some things haven't changed have they. Looking forward to your next visit Ken . . . seems like you have been way to busy and its time for some R&R. Lynn even said she would make a pot of those potatoes you like so much . .

I've had as much fun Mike seeing the results of your having fun with your Grenadiers. Once again nicely staged and photograph..........Joe

Lovely photos Mike. These guys are very photogenic and it appears that your terrain pieces do double duty nicely with both ACW and AWI figures.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Joe and Dave, and everybody else that posted throughout the day. I had fun today - I spent a good part of the day just enjoying my Grenadiers - I haven't done that with my TS collection in awhile and it felt good. Working with just my Grenadiers though made me realize that I do need to get some of the Colonial Militia figures to bring a bit more interest to the table. Later . . . . .

Mike, as others have said, well done on these pics. I like how you are able to use the awesome base you have and make such great looking vignettes. And you make it sound like it's no big deal! Again, well done, sir.

Can't wait to see what happens when you do pick up some of the militia.

I must say that this is my favorite photo so far. It is fortunate you can use your ACW display for the AWI figures. Very well done.
