I have just noticed that the only current K&C AWI series of Continental Army Soldiers (Rhode Island regiment) is now showing as discontinued.

This usually means that a new range is forthcoming, has anyone got any news on release date and what regiment the new figures are going to be, any pictures available yet?

There is nothing in forthcoming releases??? :confused:

Hello Cornwallis;
I have been asking the same question for 18 months. In Andy's thread "Never say Never" I asked if we were ever going to see another release in that series. There are dozens or possibilities. It sounded as if no AWI sets were in the designstage or even in his mind. :(
I am hoping for some "non-combat" sets, maybe some camplife or other actions that are not "Standing / Firing."

However I am always looking for some wounded and casualities sets, to add to the dioramas, similar to First Legions or the John Jenkins 1812 series.

The last I heard there was a new American regiment set for release this year. They are supposed to be in combat poses. However, as with everything else, until you actually see pictures of the figures, take it with a grain of salt.

I contacted Andy about this several months ago. He informed me that several sets of Royal Welch Fusiliers were in the works, set to be released in the 2nd quarter of 2012.

Afternoon guys;
We just had a release of Royal Welsh Fusiliers for the last BR line (BR75 - BR 82A) so that would be curious. Still if they were different in pose and action that might be welcomed.

I would love to see more Militia Sets and Backwoodsman for the Continental side but ??????

I emailed K&C UK and they wouldn't give me any information as they didn't want their competitors finding out information on future plans/releases.

So I suppose until we see something in dispatches who knows??

The number of possibilities are Enormous.

For example -- Troops smoking pipes and relaxing; Cooking; Chopping wood; Digging trenches; Building fortification; Cleaning rifles; Sleeping in JJD tents; Officer at a desk; Reading a map; …more!!

If you look at all the successful dioramas on TFT and any other site, some of the best ones show what troops did most likely 95% of the time.

But you are right ….. wait and see! <BIG SIGH>
