Stunning new figure and has already been a best seller sold out from many dealers. Here's to the next releases.

this is a really nice figure...
mine is on the way...
I also ordered the next two releases...

it's also a very diverse series...
one thing I always liked about John...
was that he chooses some obscure offerings...

Snow Shoes...Jacobites...St. Francis...etc...
not really mainstream stuff...

I thought there was an error in your post when you mentioned it is already sold out by most dealers...
which is a good sign for the series...
if the dealers can't get it...
that means John's shelves are empty also...

I was wondering...
how many figures did he produce to sell out so quickly?

The same thing is happening with the Celts. - These must be very small releases.

Ken...

is that true?

some of John's Celts are already sold out with dealers?

maybe it was a small release or else they are very popular...

I was a bit tardy in buying this. Does anyone know if John is planning to make anymore?

Well, you can’t collect everything. I don’t collect Romans so no cares there.

Ouch! ... These small releases are too hard on my hobby budget. Will continue for now with the Celts, but will have to pass on the Aztecs.
If this is JJD's plan for future releases, I'll be down to only collecting First Legion.

“Out Of Stock” I would think. Maybe a smaller batch released first to test the acceptance.
If this is “SOLD Out” by now, I can only shake my head.
There are not many collectors out there who can decide on a new line within a few weeks.

Hey Konrad,
I agree, a short window doesn't give a collector any time to decide if that is a good place to spend his dollars! :rolleyes2:

I generally wait to see (or get the impression) if that a series will have any legs before jumping in. I would have been a big buyer of John's "THE TOWN OF OLD YANGSHUO, 1899" as the series would be a great addition to my Pacific WWII interests.

But alas, :redface2: only two were made and the first sold out rather quickly.

Oh well, as Brad said ... "You can't collect everything."

I was out with John last night and I can tell you that this was not a short or a small Release.

It is just an INCREDIBLY popular release and has taken many people by surprise. I know how many sets were made although I won’t be saying here and although the batch size may not be in the thousands, it’s still a significant number compared to all previous JJD releases. John’c Collector base has grown exponentially in the last year, especially in Asia and the Americas.

Anyway, here are my purchases

How would you like to meet those three guys coming out of a bar? I like the small release numbers. Adds value to the collection both monetary and non-monetary. Those original BM and FM 250-limited release are sacred in my collection.

Not a small release. Just VERY popular 😀😀

I just went ahead and bought one AZ-03 on EBay per “buy it now” and free shipping.
A “last one” as it said.
There’s currently one more up there for bids.
Very glad to hear that John’s collector base is growing significantly.
Putting in that much of work, he really deserves to become very successful and I am rather confident that he is going that way.

Truth be told I’m more interested in the Spanish than the Aztecs so I will probably wait to see if John produces Cortes and company.

these are just off the chart cool...
most colorful things I have seen in a while...
like Brad...
I'm hoping it's Aztecs vs. Conquistadors...
Cortes would be the right combatant for me...
