On July 2nd at 5:30PM, 1,600 Confederates attacked the Union positions along the peach orchard, General William Barksdale's Brigade, McLaws Division, Longstreets Corps, consisting of the 13th, 17th, 18th and 21st Mississippi. Opposing them were the 114th PA, Collis' Zouaves and the 57th and 105th PA.............

Supported by several Union batteries, the line held briefly, but the sheer weight and numbers of the assault overwhelmed the line, casualties where high for the Union troops...........

Well done George, and you know all too well that I would enjoy these series of photos. Wm Britain will be coming out with a new line of Zouave figures late this year/early next year representing the 114th PA. - Zouaves always add a dash of color to the battlefield. Take 'em all the way to Plum Run George . . . .
:) Mike

Thanks for the feedback Michael, you and I talked about the upcoming Britains 114th PA as well as the ACW buildings, this is the set of buildings I told you about, really like the way it came out, I like the new fields I came into as well.

Your pictures inspired me to put up a nice display...........

Wow...this is fantastic George! I really like the grain field work...it really works in this scale. Hmmm...I just saw the silicon road sections...you have any of those in stock?! ;)

Thanks for the feedback Nick, I appreciate it. Funny thing about those roads; I left my booth for a minute at Historicon and some guy ordered 50 sections of the road, so I put them aside and funny enough, he never came back for them...............;)so yes, I've got some available...........:D

I actually did get a restock and quite a few folks from the show have contacted me about getting more sections, so it worked out ok in the end....................:)

George...

this found this thread...that's a great set up...I love those epic massive displays...so much action to look at...I really like the grain field too...did you make it...I have already decided...I'm gonna steal that idea...

plagiarism is the biggest form of flattery...

great work...too cool...

Michael:

You don't need to steal the idea...let's go to OTSN and steal the actual diorama piece from him!! I have my case on wheels...he'll never notice!

George, I never get fed up looking at your 20mm battles, brings back so many happy memories of my wargaming days.

Jeff

Nice figures and layout. What's good about wargame figures and set ups is that you can tell the story without using 1 to 1 numbers of figures or exact scale of the land and buildings. It's a clear and appealing way to teach.

Thanks for the feedback Mike, Jeff and Scott and Scott, you hit the nail on the head as to why I favor 20mm, you can do so much more with less and tell an entire story.

Michael; yes, I made those, pretty labor intensive, but I like the finished look, feel free to copy away, that is what forums are all about, sharing ideas.................

Really nice display and, the workmanship both for the figures and scenes are amazing

Thanks Mitch, the figures are mostly Kennington and Newline Design, wargaming outfits from the Uk, the country where all the best wargaming figures are produced..............

Looks great George and no doubt fun setting it up etc. You always keep me inspired! Thanks!
