I can't possibly collect both of these battles from Britains... Although both are superb collections and it's nice to have choices. Anyway, since Rorke's Drift came out first and I have already started along that path, I will continue with this... Good luck to all of you Isandlwana collectors or for those that will collect both!

Also, haven't decided as of yet, if I will collect the "War along the Nile" series, but same here, I will choose only one battle and I'm leaning toward Abu Klea.

What's everyone else doing???

Decided this a long time ago and have been happily waiting. Not sure about how to handle the new range yet.

Although it will be expensive, I will be collecting both ranges and any other AZW battle ranges that may come out.

Battles such as:

Hlobane
Ntombe

I was thinking of collecting only Abu Klea myself. We'll see how that goes. It kind of depends on what else comes along as I am running out of shelf space. Already preordered a small heard of camels and other Abu Klea releases.

I will continue with RD and IS. I have the MZ issues 20040, 39002 and the first IS release 20024 from last year I think it was.

From what I know so far, most of my collecting budget for this year will be going to Britains (Rorke's Drift, ACW and possibly Abu Klea). :)

I will be collecting both as most figures are usable for both battles. Hopefully I will be able to grab a few of the new figures from WatN series, probably just the mounted camel corp figures and a few Mahdist figures.

Any completest collector who collects ACW,AZW,and WAN hopefully has a very very well paying job.:eek:Britains is going to have a fantastic year.

I'm happy to be in at the beginning of a series finally instead of having to "play catch up." Will start with the camel corps and go from there.

Now that I am retired is the very reason why I am collecting only the ACW sets that WB has to offer - certainly doable for me . . . . . . . Mike

To those who are choosing Abu Klea over the Battle of Tamaai, I suggest you don't read the section of the Battle of Tamai in Michale Asher's Khartoum. Once you read about it I am sure you will be collecting the Battle of Tamaai as well.

Since the War Along the Nile is my favorite historical topic I will collect both battles ,after parting with numerous items in my collection from other eras.
I agree that this will be a tough (but great) year my two favorites War Along the Nile and AZW are covered extensively.

As I was looking through the catelogue I saw thta I was going to have a long year or more trying to get all the figures I want especially from this fantastic new series and a few figures from other lines. I decided to do a quick count and found that I was already up to 40 figures and one Bell Tent. It will be a longtime in getting all of these guys especially since I am into other makers as well. The Durbar, War Along the Nile, 95th Rifles, ACW and who knows whatelse. I see myself seeking many of these figures for a long time to come. I do love the thrill of the hunt I just hope that I can stay focused...

The problem with a plan Dave is that somebody always comes out with something that knocks your socks off and throws your plans into the trash bin.:eek::D:D:

Hi Mark,

Well I was taught in the Army that no plan survives contact with the enemy or that the plan is a basis for change so I guess I will have to try and stay the course, try being the operative word here...

Of course the other dimension I neglected to mention was my wife and what she thinks I need to spend my money on.:(

I'm collecting both but Isandlwana has long been my aim (hence the name and why I am standing in front of the very mountain itself!).

The film 'Zulu' is what entices everyone into the who AZW subject but when you start reading about it, it is Isandlwana that grabs your attention. Basically we will never know the whole truth of the battle.

It's a wonderful subject matter and the series will do it justice, of that I have little doubt.
