But instead of crushing them, the panzer and panzer grenadiers were clearly unaware of their presence and so settled down to refuel and re-arm, the grenadiers sitting down for a rest........................

The crew then get the message that they can stand down for the rest of the day - and that night..........cheese, wine and rays it is!

They find a spot and sit down for a rest.

So they move a little further along and meet up with the crew of panther 421 again. The crew are busy re-arming and replenishing the tank.............

It looks like the brass are also about................

All were curious to know more about their enemy. When asked, the grenadiers just said they were tough Tommies and they should make their will and take care..........................................

They had already lost some good friends near Oosterbeek..........................

Meanwhile, unaware of the massed Germans coming their way, Bill and Ted continued their excellent adventure towards the bridge at Arnhem.

They were still determined to try to get past the blocking force...................

Bill crawled up behind a ditch bank to see if the way was clear, with Ted crawling on his belly beside him...........................

They crept up to the rear end of destroyed STUG, it had been hit in the underbelly whilst trying to cross the earth embankment.........................

What a nice way to enjoy my second cup of coffee Kevin with both of the story lines from Arnhem and The Bulge along with the photos which by themselves tell the story. Hope all going well at your end and once again thanks for providing both stoy lines.....The Lt.

It's been way to long since I've enjoyed a cup of coffee while viewing both the Battle of Arnhem and The Bulge Kevin and hope all's been well at your end and hopefully you found a bunch of goodies under your tree Christmas morning and that your New Year's gotten off to a great start. Looking forward to seeing what you've got in store for us during 2009....The Lt.

I can now see why I haven't been able to enjoy a cup of coffee while enjoying The Battle of Arhem as I sure you know by now that Kevin's been spending most of his free time working on his telling it's tale being published. I want to take a moment to express my best wishes for it's sucess for I know both he and Louis worked very hard to make it all happen. Now that being said I hope I can soon enjoy my morning coffee viewing it's next chapter appearing here on the forum from Kevin........The Lt.

Honour Bound. That particular one is one of the damaged Panthers, which are on sale here at Treefrogs at half price. They are excellent vehicles.
