Battle of Carillion... (2 Viewers)

Well my Texan friend, you have certainly done it again . . . . a superb diorama Michael and very nicely done . . . .
:smile2: Mike

thanks Mike...now lets get down to some serious business...how many birdies did you get?

LOL . . . . Played like CRAP {eek3} the first day, probably new season jitters and too much winter rust. Played "bogie golf" the second day - a little better but nothing to write home about. By the third day I was playing like I might have known what I was doing, even got a couple of birdies on some short par 4 holes :smile2:. It was a great week in South Carolina, with some very nice WARM weather . . . .

Nice work putting this massive diorama together Mike. You are one very productive guy. Seems to be one nice big scene after another brimming with figures. Where in the world do you store or display all these beauties?????

Mike,

this is a brilliant diorama you have there, and the historical notes really help me understand about this famous battle.

Seeing all the cut down trees, makes me realise why John Jenkins has made them as part of his bases on the Black Watch he produces.

Thanks for sharing this with us,

WELL DONE !!!

John

Hi Mike. Don't know how I missed this thread. Must say that is a unbelievable amount of work that you have put into the dio. The wall and the ground cover is superb and I love the trees framing it. One can feel the struggle of the Hielanders trying to fight their way through all the obstacles. -- Al

Al...thanks so much...those Highlanders took a tremendous whooping trying to reach and scale the breastwork while tripping and fumbling over the abattis groundwork...Montcalm really got lucky on this one as it would have been easy to blast it with the many guns the British transported or to go around it...

Mike

Absolutely incredible!

Randy

Randy...thank you...

Mike,
Absolutely outstanding!

Pete
Pete...thank you

Michael:

I just got an opportunity to sit down and revisit this thread. The dio is looking really good...so much to look at. Every dio you do seems to add yet another dimension...I really appreciate that...so thanks so much!
