With Anzac Day tomorrow here in Australia, appropriate to recognise at least one battle in WW1. The Australian Army and US Army infantry, supported by Royal Tank Regiment tanks, attacked German positions in and around the town of Le Hamel, in northern France. Planned and led by Lieutenant General John Monash on the 4 July 1918.
Lest we forget.
Robin.

Great diorama! Hamel - the precursor to Amiens and the Hundred Days offensive that broke the German army on the Western Front.
