Looks like fun George, it must take some time to set those war games up.

Thanks, this one took about 8 hours to plan, stage and set up, now I get to enjoy it for countless hours...……………….;)………...

How much would it cost to duplicate this diorama in 60mm?

There are about 1500 figures in this layout, so at 40.00 each, sixty large...……………...at 80.00 a figure, 120K...……….

Wow.

Since someone asked me via email; for the French, there are infantry, chasseurs, Voltigeurs, Zouaves, Turcos, Guard Infantry and Guard Mobile, plus foot and horse artillery as well as Guard foot and horse artillery...…………..there are Prussian infantry, guard infantry, jaegers, Wurttembergers, jaegers, Bavarians, Bavarian guard infantry, jaegers, Saxons, jaegers, Baden infantry and jaegers...………….plus Prussian foot artillery.

Back in the basement setting up scenes I see George! Very good mate.

Thanks Jeff, these are a mix of B & B Miniatures out of the UK and Hagen Miniatures out of Germany, all metal, all 20mm naturally, my scale of choice.

George, as always, very impressed with the huge amount of figures in action. Really love the wide variety of units/uniforms in evidence. Can't beat the French infantry in their blue and red with their battle flags flying. Fantastic work, sir. -- Al

Thanks Al, the FPW has become a huge favorite for me, been a lot of fun building this collection from the ground up starting about two years ago, it's come a long way since then.

Wow.

I really enjoy seeing a mass diorama with the smaller figures.......I just feel my 54/60mm figures have more "personality"! LOL
Nowadays my dioramas are more in the 50 to 100 figure content, still pretty steep but spread out over a year or so not that bad.
Nothing wrong with some smaller vignettes of 10 to 20 figures to tell a story.

I dont recall but have you done any Medieval or Ancient battle dioramas in 20/28mm scale?

Different strokes for different folks, that's what makes the hobby so great, there is something for everyone.

I love the look of 20mm figures in massed formations, I enjoy the look of it immensely.

My collection consists of Napoleonics, ACW, FPW and WWII, I do not have any ancients.

I have toyed with the idea of doing Romans/Celts/Germanics/Gauls as there are a few 20mm companies that make them.

We'll see...…………...
