Received mine today. Improvement over the original model, that's a given. Smoother lines and greater detail is seen right away. The clear glass is probably the most notable simple improvement that could have been done to the old version. Of course the wheels rotate and are even, unlike the old model but that's the character of the first releases way back in 2000. I still like the older version just the same.
My only con is that it seems a little light on the snow dusting when compared to the on-line photo from Sager's site. The side running boards in particular and the rear of the vehicle, as all you snow dwellers no how that snow kicks up when driving conditions are white.Sure there is a fine line between too much and too little but we are talking in the Ardennes late Dec. The underside seems to have more weathering than the side most are going to see unless you display it as a casualty of icy roads.
Still worth adding to the collection if you can get it.
