Received mine today. Improvement over the original model, that's a given. Smoother lines and greater detail is seen right away. The clear glass is probably the most notable simple improvement that could have been done to the old version. Of course the wheels rotate and are even, unlike the old model but that's the character of the first releases way back in 2000. I still like the older version just the same.
My only con is that it seems a little light on the snow dusting when compared to the on-line photo from Sager's site. The side running boards in particular and the rear of the vehicle, as all you snow dwellers no how that snow kicks up when driving conditions are white.Sure there is a fine line between too much and too little but we are talking in the Ardennes late Dec. The underside seems to have more weathering than the side most are going to see unless you display it as a casualty of icy roads.
Still worth adding to the collection if you can get it.

Sorry for the pic's...doing something wrong in posting them. wouldn't allow me to upload...says bad URL but when I saved the link and copied it individually it showed up like this. I guess this is why I don't post often....

Thanx for the photos! It looks like a nice piece. I managed to track one down and should be enjoying it shortly.

I must admit I think its quite an improvement on the eariler version!:)

I received mine today, and it looks great! As an ex Army medic, this vehicle is the one I have been waiting for. The only negative, is I wish the back doors opened up, which would have looked nice with the stretcher party getting ready to load up. I also think, that if you needed the winter version, you could easily winterize the summer version, with a light dusting white paint.

Looks great! Thanks for the pics and congrats on the fine addition to your collection:). I pre-ordered one as well; hopefully mine will arrive soon. I'm looking forward to one day setting it up w/ the stretcher team, which
I'm hoping my better half might get me for Christmas. Joe

Have to say that I rather prefer the original but, then I really like old K&C

My "winter" ambulance just showed up in yesterday's mail. Really a nice little truck. The finish on mine looks fine. My winter GI stretcher party came in the same box and looks very nice posed beside the ambulance. I'm a happy camper!
