I am thinking about buying the Bedford ql Fuel Bowser - just b/c I like it.

Would these trucks ever had made an appearance at a USAAF field in Europe?
Thanks
Zach

If not, what companies make fuel trucks? I have seen the K&C jeep with the trailer, the figarti fuel truck, but no others. I need a fuel truck to go with my WWII Europe airfield

Cheers,

Here is a nice flight line photo of a fuel truck. You could use the Figarti ETA-016 release. I have a couple of these along with the K&C Bedford Bowsers of course.

Have Fun!

Well chaps

I have a copy DVD of the mission footage of the Memphis Bells last combat mission filmed in flight etc. Towards the end of the mission there is a shot across the airfield as the ground crews wait the bombers return. There is a fleet of Austin K2 ambulances in US markings awaiting the casulties.

I talked about this with Andy Nielsen at a Christmas London show and he said he believed it was a kind of reverse Lend Lease. Whos to say that this did not extend to trucks and other soft skinned vehicles.

Cheers

Thanks for the info. I have that figarti fuel truck in my "wish list" at Hobby Bunker. I am still torn with accuracy v. really liking the Bedford. I might say screw it, buy the bedford and slap a star on it! :salute::

Changing history one diorama at a time!
