As I was packing my lunch this morning, I looked out the back door, and took a quick snap of my beer garden, closed for the winter:

Can't wait for spring....

Absolutely! Summer evenings, listening to the Phillies on the radio and enjoying a beer or two. And there's a big old maple tree that shades the whole patio for most of the day. I spend a lot of time out there, when I'm home during the day.

Prosit!
Brad

Absolutly beautiful, never to cold outside to enjoy some malted refreshments in the nice snowy backyard, don't even need a cooler!!! I will trade you a weeks worth of 70 -80 degrees of Arizona winter to have a weeks worth of that lovely snow you have there in Pa. anytime. oh how I miss those cold snowy nites back in Va. love the beer garden as well...Sammy

If I could afford to take a family vacation in Canada right now I would be on a plane tommorow!!!!! the more snow the merrier I say, figures my luck, the woman I finally fall in love with and marry has to be from the hottest state in the U.S.A., but I wouldn't change a thing (in case she reads this):)...Sammy

You beat me to it. All that snow has to be good for something! Keep your beer cold for cheap. Might be a little chilly for Lederhosen!

We're having a more typical Pennsylvania winter so far this year, like I remember from when I was a kid, cold and snowy, like it should be. Time for good, dark beers, to tide us over until the spring. A good stout, and bowl of stew, or split pea soup with ham.

Prosit!

A refreshing 10 degrees in Gettysburg this morning. Not many tourists on the open top bus tour!

Yep, crisp, dry and clear this morning! I don't know about anyone else here in PA, but I think I've gotten acclimated again to winter weather. It's to the point where I step out of the house in the morning, and it doesn't feel cold, as such.

Thanks, Raymond! It is almost a place of meditation at times. June is the best, when the flowers in the backyard are in bloom, and the fireflies are at their peak.

A glass of Franziskaner, some cheese and some good bread, and it's a good life!

...And the neighbor's dog barking, the mosquitos from the swamp behind the house, and the afore-mentioned neighbor yelling at her dog to be quiet...But there are more stars to see than closer to the cities! Makes me feel...54mm!

Dogs barking, but surprisingly, no mosquitoes up here, never really been bothered by wasps or yellow jackets, either, not like when I lived down outside Quakertown, which actually does sit on a lot of swampy ground.

Hi Brad,

I bring the beer over this weekend:D.

There should be no mossies now.

Best, Raymond:).

I only see snow once a year and that's because its brought in by truck to the neighborhood park for Snow day. :(

Absolutely! I can fire up the casting pot for warmth.

What's the local brew of choice in the "Lion City"?

Brad,

Shhhhhhhhhh! I think it's banned over there...thats why Raymond is chomping at the bit for some drink!:p

Hi Brad and Mike,

We seem to like the names of the larger members of the Cat family.

The popular local brew is Tiger.

There is plenty of competition from Heineken and Carlsberg (my preference).

No banning of this stuff except to minors.

Not to familiar with the US brews, but I was recommended Miller by a bartender in Philadelphia back in the early 90's.

Cheers guys, Raymond.:)
