The regalia, flags, standards etc. of Imperial Germany obviously needed to be re-invented / re-interpreted after 1933.
Paul Krause 1883 to 1945(?), best known by his pseudonym Paul Casberg, was the artist largely responsible for the image of Nazism and the new Colours of the Wehrmacht. He was a 'colourful' character and his ultimate fate after 1945 is unknown.
