I really like the new Berlin Civilians released this month. I haven't seen them mentioned on here yet, so I wanted to see if anyone else liked them. I always thought that my LAH parade needed civilians, and now KC has once again come through.

Yeah im with you Graeme i like them and will be buying them eventually.

Interesting releases and are well done. next releases would be nice without the salute as it offers a lot more dio options if they are not saluting

Das Deutsche Rote Kreuz , DBM , Hitler Jugend , Nazi Nurse and a Member of Kyffhäuserbund , or Stahlhelm, ( German WWI Veteran ) are not really "Civilians" . But hey with a total of nine new figures this month giving the Hitlergruß ( Heil Hitler , Salute whatever you call it today ) makes for a good month :salute:::salute:: I guess you can never make too many of those .

Definately think the WW1 veteran is civillian as is the Nurse the others are arguable, so, a question of semantics when dealing with a regime based on military power. They are all welcome additions to those wishing to expand the range and fill out a street parade or recreate the streets of most german cities in the early days.

This is a german firefighter from the Del Prado line of firefighters, fits great!

Also Berlin firefighters and Berlin police needed too!

The Berlin firefighter idea is a good one with lots of potential. Fifefighters and their equipment fighting a fire with a KC burning or damaged building fascade is a dio idea that could look great. Firetrucks, ladders, hoselines, medics, ambulances; lots of stuff to choose from. -- Al

1938 where this range the year this range is taken from most german cities were parading and supporting the Nazi party. It's a historical fact should anyone wish to address what was going on in 1938 in germany.

Can you enlighten me as to where you get your Historical fact "that most German cities were parading" at anywhere near this level. Maybe if you would have said Nuremberg or Berlin OK but Hitler and his boys didn't make it a habit of riding through " most German cities " and not all Germans from children to old were standing in line with waving arms happy about it , there were plenty of members of society who were very scared to see such events . I find this line very upsetting , IMO K&C have gone overboard with all these non-combat figures ...Fleeing what looks like Jewish people with Nazi camera man filming the show , Drunken SA , the Berghof with Himmler in sun chair the list goes on and on . I'm sure this post will be attacked but you know what I don't care , I for one am tired of it and will no longer stand by quiet . :):):):):) Regards Gebhard

Hamburg, Munich, dresden, emden how many more do you want? The cities may not have had the mass rallies of say Nuremburg which, the germans used as the birthplace of national socialism but, its fact that rallies and parades were organised at a local level and, when Hitler toured germany which, he did frequently they paraded.

Many germans at this time pre-war all said JA! thats historical fact Look in any history book or the first parts of the series the world at war to see this very clearly. Should you wish to PM me I will supply references for you

Regarding Post 14 the subject has been raised repeatedly and it gets a bit boring to have every such thread hi-jacked by such comments. Could get a bit boring if K&C fans went into other areas of the forum to comment negatively all the time about items they clearly have no interest in..

I guess some people have nothing else to post about at the moment.

It is obvious from the more than numerous comments on this topic that each forum participant has his own personal set of standards for which figures are offensive and which are valid historical pieces. I am amazed that no one has suggested a poll on this to determine where everyone stands :rolleyes2: It would certainly be an eye-opening result which would show a lot of idiosyncratic choices because of the degree of emotionalism inherent in the logic.

Is Hitler an historic enough figure to make? If he is in the Paris car. If he is having a party at the Bergdesgarten. How about Goring. or Mengele. What about the civilians or are they refugees or worse?

I think there are so many personal thoughts as to what is historical and collectible and what is offensive it would be impossible to come to any consensus.

I don't think a poll would work apart from show some like and some don't which, is rather obvious it would be interesting to see how many collect or to be told what percentage of sales are down to this range.

The way I look at the hobby is if you are going to do a range at least cover it in depth and, that is what K&C are doing and have done for many years to their credit across all ranges.

Andy won't continue a range if he doesn't make enough profit from it, he's stated this several times. So obviously people are spending money on LAH at a consistent basis, which is why he keeps expanding it. LAH doesn't get a lot of attention on this forum, I think mostly because of all the flack a member might get for posting something. However, I think there are more LAH collectors on here than one might think.
