I am a relatively new collector of Britains and may be looking to move into K&C. Any idea about what range to collect?

The collection has grown to about 1250 figures, so you know my answer.
Wow Larry!! That is a gigantic collection!! Are all 1,250 figures AWI ones? If so, that must be spectacular- the KC AWI sets are very appealing.
I am happy to say that, yes, the 1250 sets are all K&C AWI.
The numbers fall somewhat heavy on the British forces with about 750 +/- K&C sets; as compared to the Colonial Army with about 500 +/- K&C sets .
I am still hunting for many of the sets in the series' that I didn't get the needed quantity of guys to adequately show what I wish to represent. I think Cornwallis has the same problem. K&C Andy retires the series to soon to build up a marching column or firing line. However, I am getting there. In big need of Militia and Backwoodsmen and older Colonial Marines.
I have been working this past summer, fall (and now winter) on a room that will hold a "super diorama" {sm3} made up of 5 or 6 sheets of 4'X8' plywood in a "U" shape. I have wanted to do this for many years, but just got the space. Ever since I saw the very large dioramas at the Bunker Hill Monument / Museum I have dreamed about this happening.
The diorama will not be any one particular event or battle, but a display of all the AWI sets and diorama/display structures. However, I might possibly go with a Bunker Hill scene if I can get some more K&C Militia and Backwoods men. Or move deeper into First Legion.
I also have some older Britians AWI and Conte AWI sets that (?may?) go into the diorama, but not sure.
The room will FINALLY be finished this month (Feb)and then the fun begins.
IF there is any interest I can post progress pictures of the building and all the sets.
Good Hunting!
