Better late than never: The Sherman variation (1 Viewer)

I'll take some and send them to Brad to post for me. I put the summer food line set on the small diorama base with the broken gate and "caen" sign. I put my summer "Al Capone" Normandy Sherman on the big base with the gate and cobblestone street (complete with sewer cap).

If I ever get the Gold Edition Sherman with foliage camouflage, I intend to line up the three bases, and make a column led by the two Gold Edition Shermans (foliage and snorkel) followed by the "Al Capone" Sherman and the amphibious jeep.

that would be awesome Louis..

A sherman convoy

anyway how did you order the diorama Louis?

Treefrog doesn't offer it thru them anymore right?

Treefrog had one of the bases with the ruined Boulangerie building, which I bought. Then I found the large and small bases with the gates at Michigan Toy Soldiers. They also had a small base with the ruined Boulangerie building, which is still available. The bases came in "Gold Edition" boxes. That just makes me more excited to receive my "Gold Edition" Snorkel Sherman and Tiger (thanks again, my friend)!

Well, my Panther (#422) and the third diorama piece arrived, and I am well pleased! Really great models!! I can't wait for Chicago!!!:cool:

I sent Brad three photos to post of the new Honour Bound stuff I have received so far . . . more to come post-OTSN, where I will be picking up a Gold Edition Tiger and a Jagdpanther.

Here are the photos.

looks great Louis.

Is the Wehrmacht Infantry Food Line under the New Painting Style or the Old version?

Steven, Carlos? Anybody get their Snorkel Sherman yet? I am also waiting for a winter Panther Tim Tyler got for me . . . patience is a virtue!:p;):D

Not yet ... I got an e-mail from Mandi last week stating that production had stopped while Ana and Daniel were in Chicago ... they want to carefully oversee production.:)

I got the same e-mail. Now I am going to have to be more patient, as Tim Tyler told me my winter panther won't be ready to go out for a little while, as the person he obtained it from forgot to pack up the crew figures, and is shipping them separately.

Anybody hear anything more yet about their Shermans? Since I repaired the Gold Edition Tiger and put it on display in the museum, I have been looking at the amazing photos of the Snorkel Sherman on this thread with great anticipation . . .:D

Nothing yet, be patient all good things come to those who wait. LOL,

I still find it amazing that only three of us ordered thsi Sherman version.

Carlos

Isn't half the fun of collecting the wait time? You know, when you are after something, determined to get it, or waiting for something announced to be preoduced, or for something you ordered to arrive? I enjoy this part of the hobby so much . . . its like that old Heinz Ketchup commercial . . . anticipation is making me wait!:D:p

Oh yeah  , well some of us think the timing for stopping production SUCKS  , understandable , but it still SUCKS

I think so too:mad: . . . if production had stopped a month earlier or a month later, I would have ordered a Sherman with foliage camouflage and a Sturmtiger as well, the timing right in the middle of a financial meltdown put the kybosh on that:(

I remember someone saying patience is a virtue....but one I lack when it comes to Toy Soldiers:eek:. Maybe I should seek counseling...like those anger management classes...TOY SOLDIER ANGST MANAGEMENT CLASS..sign up today!
