Better than expected list. (2 Viewers)

Totally agree, hence my new avator - Sandford Police's finest!:D

OK Simon, now we know, it was you with the robe on in the circle, chief 'hoody getter'.............................

Loved Shaun of the Dead but especially loved the same guys in "Hot Fuzz!" Kevin (Panda1gen) got me to watch it when he visited in March, and I almost pissed myself laughing!!:D:D:D:D

Don't worry Louis, when the prostate goes you won't notice.

'Hot Fuzz' is about the cleverest comedy I've ever seen, pure genius. Some terrific gun fight scenes and one liners and an interesting scuffle in a 'model' village where the ex Bond actor gets the point

I liked Shaun of the Dead, but Hot Fuzz seemed a bit stale. Maybe it is a case of no expectations and then high expectations.

I found that I could identify so many of the, albeit exagerated, character traits, in people I know. Couldn't help but love this film.

Any that chew toothpicks? :D

Speaking of which. I dug out 'Dream Catcher' to watch last night and had to laugh at 'Beaver' chewing his tooth picks all the time. It didn't end well for Beaver when the Eel type Alien got him in the toilet. He just couldn't resist picking that toothpick off the floor, and it was one nasty looking floor.

Now, if some members reckoned they were offended by the German pooping trooper they had better not rent 'Dream Catcher' as it has some of the nastiest toilet scenes in movie history. Unlike the classic 'Alien' chest-burster, the human body incubated aliens in 'Dream Catcher' leave via a more normal, but still very messy, exit.

I like movies that feature Human body inhabiting aliens as they add some interesting themes to a Sci Fi movie. And of course they are good for lower budget films as they cut down on the need for special effects. Movies such as 'Alien/s', 'The Hidden', 'Fallen' and Carpenter's 'The Thing' are some classic and popular cult films that come to mind.

Watched 'days of glory' last night about French Algerian / N African troops in WW2 - low expectation but quite a good movie, good couple of good battle scenes as well. Slightly too long but pretty well done. :)

Non-military, I really enjoyed TAXI and slightly less but still good - Taxi2. No Bob de Niro, but a French film doing Hollywood car chases with some good laughs. Worse things to do on a rainy night.;)

I thought Taxi was hilarious. Sammy Naceri is very talented and the whole film was enjoyable for a night where you don't want to engage brain cells too much, Taxi 2 also.

I was the other way around with Days of Glory (also starring Naceri). The film didn't live up to my expectations, I thought the storyline meandered a bit.

Agree on Taxi - perhaps I had heard mixed views about Days of Glory - and I only paid three quid - therefore low expectations - I agree it wandered a bit, could have been shorter and would have been in hollywood
