Seems to be a spate of these celebrity outings
Thirty years after the event we get the accusation
I wonder what would happened if they investigated Led Zep/ Stones et al and those rock stars from the 70's
I am sure all those groupies were not over the legal age or completely sober when those legendary exploits took place
Would be quite a can of worms

Maybe someone should have done a chemical analazics on those pudding pops. Too many women with the same story who have nothing to gain by coming forward. The Cos has a problem. To bad they're is a statute of limitations. Now he's only going to be found guilty in the court of public opinion.

Where there,s smoke, there,s fire. But do not come out 30 years after the fact and expect any sympathy. And I,m not a fan of Cosby.

Gents,

Never saw BC, but did met and see Sinbad in during a USO tour in Japan. What a hoot that guy was! I agree with TSB, those ladies have nothing to gain but the truth. Sadly, it is too late for the law to give any of these ladies justice and with so many stories (all alike) you wonder if he is a serial rapist. If so, what a creepy dude.

Yeah, Mike "say it isn't so", but I think it is...so.

John from Texas

PS: You doing a Turducken for Thanksgiving?

I believe the truth lies somewhat in between. Unfortunately, we live in a media whore age, where obscure nobodies can get face time on any TV or Cable show, and say whatever they want, without being fact checked, without having to prove their accusations. Any one of us on this forum, at any time ,can be internet or media trolled to the detriment of our character, credit rating and family relationships by anyone with an 100 year old gripe against..By coming forth now, outside of the statutes of limitations, the women cannot be held legally liable for false charges and be criminally culpable. Cosby could sue, maybe, but to what end. It has become fashionable to destroy those, who represent lives of good character and personal responsibility...because this new generation do not want to abide by the being decent rules..Michael

I understand the issues about rape but to be honest so many years after the event and all the money now from the publicity one does wonder about these accusations.

Did enjoy his show years ago. However saw him on Letterman earlier in the year and he was very slow and totally unfunny.

Interesting to see the audience in Florida supporting him. If people want to pay to see him good luck to them but his audience support in view of all the women coming forward is a surprise.

Agree with Gary's comment about where there's smoke there's fire but at the same time cases that come up 30-40 years later are always difficult. I guess multiple states involved so an interesting problem if somebody decides to resurrect/start a case.

What about the fixit man who for years delivered money orders to a variety of women in his name rather than Cosby's and now says he 'was suspicious that something was going on'. Seriously ... he only had suspicions?

Cosby was lucky he wasn't a TS manufacturer because he'd have been under constant scrutiny.

The list of women who now have come forward has reached 21. Don't want to draw conclusions, but that is a lot of people to explain away. Good lord, what a disgrace this all is. -- Al

Yes Mike a disgrace indeed.

It would be nice if we had a few females on the forum to could voice their perspective on this whole disaster. What I don't understand is why did they feel the "shame" and felt that it had to be hidden away for 40, 50, 60 years?

Yes, I understand it was the 60's and 7o's and "things were different".
AND yes he was a BIG name, but still, they did nothing wrong and have to live all this time with this skeleton in their closets???

I must say I am also changing my opinion on all this
Twenty one similar stories is quite a lot of evidence.

Al...is that right...that's a big number...hard to ignore...do you have a link to that story?
No link. Saw it on the TV news report I was watching. Some interview that had 5 of the women who claim to have been attacked telling their story. 21 was used as the current number of complainants. -- Al

Al...

it's hard to believe that 21 liars have jumped on the gravy train...I gotta believe there is some truth to this story in the numbers of the woman that are stepping up...

I'm just amazed that so many never said anything before...21 women were "roofied" and didn't speak up...that baffles me...^&confuse

is/was Bill Cosby that powerful or did hush money keep this under the covers?
