Bits ‘n’ Bobs Volume 53 (1 Viewer)

N-P,

Sorry to be a nit-picker but you want the M3A1 halftrack APC. M3A2 was type classified but never entered production. The fact that it got an "M" number versus the "T" number has led to confusion in modelers, etc for many years. It also didn't help that Tamiya somehow chose to do the M3A2 as a model many years ago, but the real thing existed as a few prototypes only.

Gary

Thanks Gary...it is M3A1 then. Both GIs and Brits used this APC.

Re: Bits 'n' Bobs Volume 53

Hi Guys,

Here’s the latest batch of replies…
1. SEMINOLES…
To my friend Ron… Sorry Ron, no way… no how… I’m interested in lots of different American Indian Tribes… but Seminoles just ain’t one of them!

2. Various Transport for GI’s and Tommies
Yes and no. The question is yes to which and no to what!

3. North West Frontier
Great subject… just not enough time to do it!!!

4. ORYON Figures
Just a little side note… I first saw ORYON pieces a few years ago in HK in one of our favourite model stores… some very nice detailing but the colours seemed (to my taste) a bit too smoky and the circular bases were a bit off putting. As far as I could ascertain they were not selling that well.
Then, out of the blue, just over a year ago, we rec’d a letter from the manufacturer in Italy wanting to sell the business and his remaining stock. I basically replied “Thanks but no thanks” and heard no more until I subsequently read they had gone out of business.
When I was in Italy and France last year I did see quite a bit of their product in a few model shops.
And that’s that.

5. Happy Birthday Myszka from all of us at K&C. 29 again!

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

Can someone help me decipher what Andy meant to item #2?

Thanks

N-P

That's a good question but maybe he was saying that, yes, he likes the idea of an armored transport, but, no news on the Dragon Wagon.

:) What about a Captured U.S. M3-Halftrack and Repainted used by the DAK; Used in OLD TV Series "Rat Patrol"? And possible an American Jeep LRDG Desert Patrol also used in TV Series Rat Patrol"?

Re: Bits 'n' Bobs Volume 53

OK - Good - so we are now considering them !

I look forward to continue to talk about this new and exciting addition to the range ! :D

Yes Ron, I agree, I think it sounds very promising at this point.

Shame about the NWF range on the other hand.
