At long last the new 54mm Blackcat 1812 Russian Grenadiers are available.
8 poses x 2 each per set, $20 just like TSSD sets. I designed them for formations, no throw away poses that you only need or want 1 of.
No assembly required, some might need the hot water shock treatment to straighten out a plume or bayonet.I seldom toot my own horn, but these turned out splendid.
Hoping to continue on with the commands, artillery, cavalry, Frenchmen, ect.
Right here, in my own shops.Hopefully by Summer I'll have more items available in plastic.
Treefrog might be carrying these, or you can contact me, Fubar via the forum or take a look at www.blackcatminiatures.net
Off to the salt mines.

Fubar,

I think you have a justifiable right to 'Toot your own horn'....these are pretty amazing and I hope you do well selling them (plumes and all).

:):D:cool:

Fubar, I really liked seeing your net sight? Looking forward to more of your production. Thank you for sending the extra parts. Those heads really look good on the Conte plastic Mexican Alamo.

Just got my Blackcat Russians. Holy Maloly. What incredible figs. These are among the best toy soldiers I've EVER seen. Three dimensionality, animation, absence of undercuts (cas of multiple parts), sculptural detailing, and pose selection all excel. Suburb. Really, really suburb figs. Scotty, you gotta make more of these babies. Hope to see the grenadiers next. I have to get more of these puppies. Had them swarming all over Ron Barzso's breached wall section last night. What a great sight.

Thank you Harold!

Dick

Fub,

The detail on these guys is just outstanding! Congrats on a job well done.

Do you have pictures of that?

I haven't, but maybe I can take a pic tomorrow. I'll give it a shot.

Let's see if the photo came thru. Nope. I have to resize it, which I don't seem to be able to do. Oh dear. Will try later.

I'll second the above comment. I think the level of detail and sculpting are simply outstanding. I'll have to email Harold direct to see about shipping to SC. Wow, Russians Naps of this quality...who would have ever imagined it???
Best regards,
Mike

I saw these at the Hobby Bunker the other day. It looks like I'll need four bags to make a nice unit. Great! There are no "lame" poses.

Any officers, drummers on the way?

No Fubar doesnt like them. Working on commands and artillery sets in plastic.
We shall see how it works out.Kind of experimenting with different formulas right now , and sculpting on more French and Russians.

I did assemble , prime and paint some metal command figures for a customer that wanted commands for his green plastic russians. He doesnt paint, just plays with them.

Small runs of dynamic , heroic types will be done as well but it's too expensive to make steel molds of say, officers or other heroic types in injection plastic.
I went with the more usefull poses 1st.

charmschool dropout.

You going to do your French in plastic too, they would make some awesome Alamo mexicans.

Yes, I'll do them in plastic as well but probably wont alter any { adding shoulder "wings" correct shako plate ect.}
Alamo Mexicans are not high on my priority list and the French are not exactly correct for Mexicans.
I've still got a battalions worth of Conte Mexicans to alter into french.
I thought they were too BIG to use as regular Mexicans. All 6 footers at least.

I have all kinds of projects on the workbench in various stages of completion .Made in pewter 1st once the molds are made. Plastic later. Just the way it works at least for me.

No, they are not 100% correct, but close enough for me, if I spread them out, not too many people will notice, the uniform isn't all that different.

The heads of your French Metal guys fit great on the conte Alamo. If you make a bunch of heads for your guys cold I get about 20 of them? 30?
